In 2020, Plimoth Plantation will commemorate the 400th anniversary of the infamous Mayflower voyage, the founding of New England’s Plymouth Colony, and the history and relationship with the Wampanoag people who have lived here for 12,000 years. A visit to Plimoth Plantation is a unique opportunity to experience history first-hand through the stories and demonstrations of the Native People and the Pilgrim role-players. Located south of Boston on Cape Cod Bay, the Museum features three outdoor exhibits: Plimoth Plantation (Wampanoag Homesite, 17th-Century English Village, Craft Center), Mayflower II, and the Plimoth Grist Mill, all within a short drive from one another. Choose how many of the museum sites you want to visit; each offers an educational experience about America’s founding story. The newly restored Mayflower II, a national treasure, will be welcomed home in 2020.
