After you meet Daniel at his home, visit the?Keta/Asco market, a daily local market known for its spices, cereals and vegetables, located about a 15-20min walk from his house. Here, you will be introduced to local ingredients that you will use in your cooking class.Join Daniel and his wife for a hands-on cooking experience in their home kitchen in Addis Ababa. During?your 1.5 hour?class, Tigist will show you how to make a traditional Ethiopian dish like shiro or tibs as well as how to pour and cook the perfect injera, a traditional fermented bread people in Ethiopia use as?an edible plate with other dishes served on top of it. You will also learn to roast coffee beans and enjoy a traditional coffee ceremony after your meal. On days that Daniel is traveling, his partner Yadassa will host you along with Daniel's wife at their home.
