Make your own way to the snowmobile headquarters in Dillon and then depart to the base camp where your guide provides you with a snowsuit, boots and helmet.

When you have your gear and have received a safety briefing, head out to the snowmobiles to get hands-on instruction on safe operation of the vehicle. The snowmobiles are equipped with hand and feet warmers, back rests and compartments to stash your bag or thermos.

You have two choices with either a full day or 2-hour ride and morning or afternoon tours. All tours access miles of backcountry powder and a groomed trail system that goes as high as 12,000 feet (3,658 meters).

Full-day tour:
During your full day guided snowmobile tour, your guide leads you along well-groomed trails and through large open meadows where you can ride through powder. Take in incredible views of the Colorado Rockies and, if you’re lucky, you might even spot wildlife such as deer and elk. Your guide provides informative commentary about the region and can answer any questions that you may have about snowmobiling. This tour includes lunch, snacks and hot beverages.

Standard 2-hour tour:
One of the most popular choices, this 2-hour tour takes groomed trails, as above, with the chance to snowmobile on powder in back country meadows. With more time, you can go further, have plenty of chances to play on the snowmobile and learn more advanced skills from your guide. Keep an eye out for wildlife as you explore more of the breathtaking beauty of the mountains. Participants can ride single or double on this tour and choose from four departures throughout the day.
