Beale Street The tour starts in the heart of Memphis which is Beale Street. While there we will see Lansky Brothers building where Elvis used to shop and then see the location of Home Of The Blues record shop which sold the very first Elvis records.
Downtown Memphis Elvis lived downtown in his early days before stardom and most of the time this is where he hung out. While downtown we visit The Chisca Hotel home of WHBQ where the very Elvis record was played on the air, then it's off to Jim's Barber shop where Elvis got that famous haircut. Elvis also worked downtown as a teenager as an usher at Loew's State Theatre and even had his high school prom at The Peabody Hotel. Then we visit the site of Lauderdale Courts where Elvis lived as a teenager. We also visit American Studios where Elvis recorded in 1969, Humes high school where he graduated and Plastic Products where the very first Elvis records were pressed. Then we visit Crowne Electric where he worked as a truck driver and the fields where Elvis played football.
Midtown We visit Sears Crosstown where Priscilla shopped to outfit Graceland, Donald's Furniture where Elvis bought the furniture for Graceland and The Crosstown Theatre which Elvis rented to watch movies. We also visit the home of Scotty Moore, who was Elvis' first guitar player, and University Cleaner's where they rehearsed as a band.
Overton Park One of the most beautiful parks in Memphis is also where Elvis had his very first concert in 1954. This is a great place for you to get out and take picture. You might even get a chance to get on stage and stand where Elvis stood during that concert.
We also see Kang Rhee Institute of Self Defense where Elvis practiced karate in the 1970's.
Then we take a short drive thru Overton Square where lots of great restaurants are located.
We also visit The Memphian which was Elvis' favorite theatre to rent to watch movies.
East Memphis We take a short drive thru east Memphis and see the location of Liberty Land, the amusement park Elvis loved to rent out and the Mid-South Coliseum where Elvis played in 1974 and 1976. Then we visit the very first home Elvis bought in 1956. This is a great place to stop and get out and take some great pictures.
We also visit Immaculate Conception where Pricilla attended high school and see Supercycles the place where Elvis bought his motorcycles.
We also see Methodist Hospital where his mother passed away in 1958.
The trip wouldn't be complete without Sun Records where Elvis made his very first records. We also visit Southern Motors where Elvis bought all those Cadillacs.
The tour then ends at the Hard Rock Cafe.
