Meet your guide on Toulouse Street in the French Quarter to begin your evening sightseeing tour, and enjoy twilight views of the New Orleans skyline as you cross the Mississippi River on the Crescent City Connection (CCC). Formerly known as the Greater New Orleans Bridge, it's the fifth-longest
cantilever bridge in the world.
You'll arrive at Old Point Bar, an established local joint that’s been coined the most-filmed bar in the South due to its inclusion in more than 40 movies including Ray, The Expendables, Contraband and Green Lantern. Soak up the old-timey vibe as you enjoy a drink at this dive bar, popular for its live music each night of the week.
Next, head back to the other side of the river, and follow your guide on foot down Magazine Street, a charming thoroughfare home to an array of antique stores, art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants and nightclubs. Walk a few blocks north to St Charles Avenue to visit the ornately designed Columns Hotel, located in the beautiful Garden District.
Built in 1883 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Columns Hotel is the only remaining example of a large group of Italianate houses designed by architect Thomas Sully. As you enjoy the grandeur of this elegant hotel, whose Victorian Lounge was named one of the 100 Best Bars in America by Esquire, sip a classic New Orleans cocktail at the mahogany bar.
Back in your tour vehicle, pass by the Mercedes-Benz Superdome (formerly the Louisiana Superdome), used as a shelter during Hurricane Katrina, and see the Smoothie King Center on the way to Frenchman Street, an epicenter of live local music. You can be dropped off here to enjoy the rest of your night on your own, if you’d like. Alternatively, you may return to the tour's starting point in the French Quarter, passing by Jackson Square and its iconic St Louis Cathedral.
