Meet your guide and museum docent in the morning at the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion. After introductions, board the Train Car Experience for a taste of the emotional departures felt by people leaving to serve in the war.

Arrive at the Home Front and Higgins Boat exhibit, which tells the story of America’s entrance into the conflict and the amphibious craft landings in Normandy. Then get a behind-the-scenes look at the restoration of a PT boat that served in the Mediterranean.

Once you have seen the PT boat, have lunch with a museum curator in a private dining room at the American Sector restaurant. Savor a tasty 3-course meal (sample menu in Itinerary) as you gain an insider’s perspective on the museum and the war.

After lunch, head to the museum’s artifact vault, which stores many treasures that are not visible to the general public, including uniforms, weapons, and personal items. Take an exclusive 1-hour curator-led tour of the vault’s special collections, with white gloves provided so that you can handle the rare objects.

Next, your curator takes you to the US Freedom Pavilion where you can climb into a Sherman Tank and check out the the war machine. Afterward, walk through exhibits with elevated catwalks that give you a birds-eye view of a Boeing B-17 and other historic aircraft. Have the option to visit the submarine exhibit, Final Mission: USS Tang Submarine Experience, and learn about WWII’s most successful crew of submarine operators.

Surface from the depths to enter the Pacific D-Days Gallery with a docent. Hear about the development of the war in the Pacific Theater, from Pearl Harbor to the beginning of the atomic age.

Wrap up your exclusive day at the museum with a viewing of Beyond All Boundaries, an immersive 4D cinematic experience available only in the museum's Solomon Victory Theater.
