Bike and Hike Portland’s beautiful coastline. Join us for a fun filled two and a half hour adventure featuring Portland’s Eastern Promenade and Macworth Island. Your tour begins cycling the ocean front Eastern Promenade. Your ride along the ocean will offer great views of Bug Light, the smallest coastal lighthouse in the US, Casco Bay and Fort Gorges. Our destination is Macworth Island, a local’s favorite for running and walking. On the island we will leave our bikes behind and enjoy a leisurely 1 mile walk around the island with great views of Portland and Casco Bay. You will learn the history of the island, visit the cemetery where Governor Baxter buried his dogs before returning cycling back to Portland.
