Historically, the Dogpatch has been a working-class neighborhood, largely due to its proximity to large shipyards and steel mills. But recently the Dogpatch has flourished as an up-and-coming neighborhood thanks to artists who have made it the center of San Francisco’s maker movement by creating high-quality handcrafted goods and products.

Your small-group walking culinary tour of San Francisco’s trendy Dogpatch begins when you meet your guide at a local store. Follow your guide through the neighborhood, marveling at its quaint Victorian houses. Explore local hotspots and off-the-beaten path favorites. Enjoy learning about the neighborhood by sampling some of its best food: crisp craft beer, handmade pizza, gourmet cheese samplings, urban wine and ice cream. Talk with the artisans about their craft and receive tips about other places to explore in the neighborhood after the tour.
