Stop At: Cape Byron Kayaks, Byron Bay, Byron Shire, New South Wales

Join your local surfer guide as you take to the water in a two-person, sit-on-top-style sea kayak, designed for stability and easy operation.
Paddling through the calm waters of the Byron Bay marine park, look out for the local pod of 300 resident dolphins, including Pacific and common dolphins.
While paddling, you might also see turtles and migrating humpback whales as you listen to your guide's expert commentary on Byron Bay's history, geography and local highlights, including the famous Byron Bay lighthouse. Also hear interesting facts about Byron Bay's dolphins and other wildlife, and stories from the area's Aboriginal history.
Ride through Byron Bay's legendary surf with your expert guide, and enjoy up-close encounters with local bottlenose dolphins. Then stop off at a pristine beach for morning or afternoon tea of coffee, tea, Milo or water and Tim Tam chocolate biscuits.
All safety gear included, along with wetsuits if required. Dolphin sightings are guaranteed on your kayak tour, but if you don't see any dolphins you can enjoy a free return tour.

Did not see any dolphins but seen a turtle which was amazing, staff were very professional and good fun and we was offered a free trip which we were unable to take due to our limited time in Bryon. The biggest problem we had was car parking availability,cost of parking and the amount of traffic. We visited in peak season over Xmas so if you are travelling in peak season with a car give yourself plenty of time to park your car. Staff are very focused on safety which was very good and were very honest
I put my go pro in my life jacket pocket for our return to the beach through the waves and they returned it to me before I realised I had left it

This tour is an absolute must do when in Byron a definite highlight of our trip. All the guides were knowledgeable, extremely helpful and nothing seemed to phase them. Less experienced kayakers and swimmers can be with a guide so beginners don't have to worry. We had the privilege of having a whale within meters of us as well as dolphins and sea turtles. Was a unbelievable experience that won't be forgotten.
