Spend the day on Stradbroke Island and discover a little bit of paradise just 35 minutes from the Gold Coast by high-speed luxury catamaran. When you get to Stradbroke Island, it’s up to you how you spend your time: relax on the tranquil private beach or get out on the water in a kayak or canoe. Feed kookaburras and wallabies, and indulge in a buffet lunch before cruising back to the Gold Coast in the late afternoon.

Departing from Mariners Cove Marina on the Gold Coast, set off in a luxurious high-speed catamaran for a day on Stradbroke Island. Cruising past the glittering Gold Coast Broadwater, enjoy drinks from the licensed bar (own expense) before arriving at McLarens Landing on South Stradbroke Island.

Once on the island, it’s up to you how you spend the day. Explore the island and Mariners Cove and swim in the inlet’s calm waters. If you’re feeling active, get the hang of paddleboarding, or take a kayak or canoe ride through the ultramarine water. There’s no extra charge to use non-motorized equipment; other optional activities like tractor beach rides, sand toboggaining, seaplane or speedboat rides, and jet-skiing are available at own expense. There’s also plenty of local wildlife waiting to be fed on this lovely island, including wallabies and kookaburras.

A barbecue buffet lunch is included. Bring your appetite for chicken, fish, steak, sausages, potatoes and salads, with drinks available from the licensed bar (drinks at own expense).

On the trip back to the Gold Coast by high-speed catamaran, keep a lookout for the wild sea eagles that follow the boat!

Good half day trip. Jumping on the speed boat that pulls up along side the catamaran was fun 20 I think. Lunch on the island was decent. We chose to walk to the beach on the ocean as the river side water was not that appealing. 15 min walk to get there and no flags so no technically no swimming allowed. We just put our feet in. No one else there and it was gorgeous. My daughter wanted to try paddle boarding but a couple took the only two paddle boards out and paddled off for quite a while. Three and a half stars.

We all loved it. Very family friendly and crew were big help with getting pram off the boat. Food was great also. All people visiting the gold coast this is a must do.. Guide was funny also.

We had a lovely day on this trip. It was very relaxing, lunch was delicious and enjoyed the water activities available on the island. Only down fall was that we were a family on a day trip combined with a christmas party who were all very drunk, loud and rowdy. We felt very uncomfortable especially travelling back from the island as at this stage the drunken people were very drunk and loud and were dropping their alcohol all over the floor of the boat and having trashy conversations whilst we were trying to enjoy the serenity of the waters on the way home. A bit disappointed that families were combined with drunken fools not appropriate.

Best thing about the tour was the boat ride. Tour guide was ok. Island was like stepping back in time... Sooooo dated! Food was terrible. I had the steak which was rubbery. Couscous salad had left-over sausage pieces. End of the time on the island couldn't come quick enough.
