Judy, our guide, was fabulous! Wealth of knowledge, great humour but also displayed sensitivity to both children and adults in the tour group. Learned a great deal about the site and about the 'justice' that was handed out during the time it was operational.

If you are uneasy with confined spaces and steep stairs, this may not be for you but if you can get past those feelings, you will not regret taking this tour. Tip - make sure you have warm clothing if you take the tour during Winter as some parts of the tour are rather chilly.

Well worth the entry fee and highly recommended!

Very informative with eye opening facts about a time in history that is being eroded by age. Be sure to see it. I sure hope they get the help they need to preserve this wonderful building. Remember to watch your step.........

I gave 5-star because of the tour guide's professionalism. Very informative tour and the demonstration was lively. However, it's too scary for me. If you are up on the secret story of Hobart, go ahead!

We took this trip on 7th Feb 2015 in the afternoon. Our guide looked after our group during the tour of the Chapel well and provided plenty of information about the Prison, the staff and the inmates. Again we considered that we had good value for money. When we arrived the place was shut but it did open on time and our small group were given a splendid walk round the site.
