From the cruise ship dock, start your day with morning pickup by air-conditioned minivan. Drive through Battery Point and Sandy Bay to the pretty town of Kettering. Stop Nutpatch Nougat Chocolates for a tasting of their top-quality chocolates, before boarding the ferry for a 15-minute ride to Bruny Island,

On Bruny Island, visit a variety of local food producers. Sample artisan cheeses at the Bruny Island Cheese Company and slurp fresh oysters at Get Shucked. An optional wine and whiskey sampling can also be arranged at a small additional expense. Between tastings, take leisurely walks along the coast and in the island’s wilderness areas where you might see wallabies, echidnas and a variety of bird species.

Continue through Mount Mangana and Cloudy Bay, the last point in Australia to view migrating humpback and southern right whales. Stop in a scenic location for a picnic lunch that highlights fresh local produce.

In the late afternoon return to Hobart. Your tour ends with drop-off at the cruse ship dock in the early evening.
