Day 1: Melbourne Great Ocean Road (D)
After leaving the city of Melbourne behind, you'll travel inland through the Western district, stopping for morning tea in Colac, before connecting to the Great Ocean Road, a famously scenic 150 mile(243 km) route that runs along the southwestern coast.
As you drive, you’ll stop at iconic spots like the Twelve Apostles rock formations and the Gibson Steps, where you’ll can admire spectacular limestone cliffs and rock formations. Further down the road, you’ll reach Loch Ard Gorge, named after a famous 1878 shipwreck. Hear the story of the survivors of the wreck as you take in the scenery and learn about other famous spots nearby, including the Razorback, Island Arch, Muttonbird Island, Loch Ard Cemetery, the Blowhole and Thunder Cave.
Midway along the coast you’ll drive through the Otway Ranges, known for lush rainforest and some of the tallest eucalyptus trees in Australia. Then it's off to see the coastal towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne.
Throughout the day you’ll enjoy plenty of stops to take short walks, catch stunning views, and look for wildlife such as koalas and kangaroos. After a full day’s tour of scenic towns and beaches, you’ll stay overnight at the eastern end of the Great Ocean Road. Enjoy dinner as you relax in the evening.
Overnight: BIG4 Beacon Resort, Queenscliff
Day 2: Great Ocean Road Phillip Island Melbourne (B)
Have breakfast in the morning and then set out for the ferry across Port Phillip Bay. You'll arrive on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula where your first stop will be the seaside town of Portsea. Admire its picturesque bathing boxes — colorful small structures built on the beach — and enjoy amazing views from Murray’s lookout.
After taking in Portsea, you’ll get a close look at the furry residents of Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, have your photo taken with a koala (optional) and learn about the conservation of these native animals. You’ll also see some lesser known endangered species including the southern bettong, eastern quolls and fluffy gliders. From the sanctuary, you'll head to Phillip Island, where you'll visit the Nobbies boardwalk and have access to the best views of Phillip Island's rugged south coast.
Your last stop of the tour will take you to Summerland Beach, home to Victoria’s largest colony of little penguins. Watch the 'penguin parade' as hundreds of birds march across the beach at dusk to return to their nests for the night. Viewing platforms on the beach allow you to get a good look at the birds while maintaining a respectful distance.
You will be returned to Melbourne late in the evening at the end of your 2-day tour.

My happiest 2 days in Melbourne.

It was an amazing tour that we got a very brilliant and knowledgeable Guide - Alan. The group has only 7 persons and the weather was unexpectedly very good with temperature around 14-22 degree Celcius. We have many stops at scenic outlooks to explore the whole area. During our stay at Queenscliff on 31 Jan, we have come across the spectacular Blue Moon/Eclipse/Red Moon from the relaxing and fantastic BIG4 Beacon Resort. I would highly recommend this tour or similar multi-days trip to my friends.

Nice view on the Great Ocean Road, and we had a really informative and humorous travel guide.

This was an excellent trip. Small group of people with our driver/guide Cameron. Early start, but a lot to fit in. Lots of stops for photo opportunities during the two days. Enough time to appreciate the glorious views of the natural beauty of the area though. Cameron was a knowledgeable and approachable guide who knew the local area well and was thus able to share lots of personal appreciation of the area. Overnight stay was very comfortable, we chose private bathroom option. 2nd Day was jam packed again, with great experiences. Changed driver/guide for the Philip Island Penguin part of our trip. These little penguins were so cute! All together a great 2 day trip and although very busy was well planned and executed by the tour company. Thoroughly recommended, and a truly memorable experience.

A fantastic trip organised by Bunyip Tours. Great scenery at popular tourist spots i.e. great ocean road, the razorback, mornington peninsula etc... Of course, I managed to have a selfie with koala!! A happy me :

overall the trip are quite good but the mini bus are very crampy Small Total of us 16 pax with hand luggage. There's no place to store our luggage until the day when we're returning to melbourne in a different bus only they provide us with a trailer. Our tour guide cum driver Alan are very nice compare to the other guide steve, The hotel we stayed BIG4 Beacon Resort at Queenscliff are good but the dinner.... the sausage overcooked same goes to the burger i think also overcooked. Well anyway it already over..... one thing for sure i don't think i'll go back to that travel agent again.

There were a lot of stops packed into this tour, great value for money. The shared accommodation was a lot nicer than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful scenery along the whole drive. Our guide Jeremy was extremely knowledgable about all of the places we went and had a good sense of humor. The only disappointing thing about the trip was that it was pouring rain on Phillip Island for the Penguin Parade, which obviously was no fault of the tour operator, but overall it was an incredible experience!

The tour stated that we would be picked up from our hotel but after booking we found out that they would only pick us up at the Regents Theatre instead of at our hotel. The name of the tour company is Bunyip Tours. Our tour guide, Kyle was excellent. He was fun and took the time to get to know each of his 24 passengers. He provided his own free wifi and offered to take photos for us. I would not recommend this tour during this time of the year fall. The first day tour started at approximately 7:30 am and we arrived at our hotel accommodations around 6:30 pm. It was a long and scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road but nothing exceptional except to see the rock formations of the 12 Apostles and a scenic gorge to have lunch on your own on the beach. The resort accommodation was very disappointing. Shared accommodations meant 6 bunk beds in one room with 12 ladies sharing one bathroom with the only one tiny mirror. They must not have had a lot of ladies staying here, otherwise you'd think they would at least install another mirror in the living room or bedroom for their use! There were several electrical outlets available in the living room but absolutely none in the bedrooms. Surprisingly they did offer free wifi and it did worked ok.
On the second day, we took a car ferry over to the eastern side of Melbourne and visited a rain forest before meeting another tour guide who drove us to Phillips Island to see the penguins parade. We were expecting to see hundreds of penguins making their way on to the shore at nighttime. Instead, during the two hours sitting out in the cold/wind and waiting for it to get dark and for them to show up, we only saw two groups of about 10 penguins each. They waddled up on to the shore and made their way into the grassy area where their burrows were located. The tour only provided tickets for the general admission area. I understand that if you had a penguin plus ticket you could view the penguins in a preferred area where you might have seen more coming on shore. There was a boardwalk there with limited access for others and there we saw several more penguins. These did not necessarily come out of the water that evening. They might have already been on land all day. We were told that the best times to see the penguins coming ashore is during the springtime when they do have to come back ashore to feed their babies. During February through April, they stay ashore for approximately 17 days to moult to replace old and worn feathers so that they can maintain a waterproof plumage. For the price we paid for this two days combo tour, I would recommend the one day tour instead to Phillips Island coupled with some more sightseeing to fill up your day.

This is a nice trip. Ideally, you really need good weather for it as everything is so open to the elements. Unfortunately we didn't have that but the penguin parade at Philip Island made it all worth it. Such an incredible sight to witness. The over night accomodation was lovely too
