Express Cruise (60 minutes)
After ample time to look for wildlife and enjoy the antics of the seals at Seal Rocks, your boat swings by Cat Bay so that you can see its famous surf break, one of four surfing sites in the National Surfing Reserve on Phillip Island.
Adventure Cruise (90 minutes)
Enjoy more time on the boat seeing the fur seals and other sights around Phillip Island, including a trip over to the Nobbies blowhole where, in the right conditions, seawater surges through an underwater cave and shoots up into the sky in spectacular fashion. Keep your eyes peeled for ‘rafts’ of little penguins out fishing, while towards the shore you might see peregrine falcons and other birds of prey soaring over the cliffs. The views along this rugged southern coastline rival those from the Great Ocean Road.
Penguin Parade Admission
Upgrade either your Express or Adventure tour to include admission to the Penguin Parade. Penguin researchers estimate that up to 32,000 little penguins live on Phillip Island, home of the world’s largest colony of the tuxedoed birds. At sunset, hundreds of penguins come in from the sea and cross the beach on their way to their nests. From a set of stands with tiered seating, you can watch the adorable birds makes their way along the sand to feed the day’s catch of anchovies and pilchards to their chicks. Penguin viewing at Phillip Island remains one of the highlights of the island and a don’t-miss opportunity to observe these small penguins in their natural habitat.
3-Park Pass
Combine your Express or Adventure tour with a 3-Park Pass for the ultimate Phillip Island package that includes discounted admission to the island's top attractions: the Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Centre and Churchill Island Heritage Farm.
At the Koala Conservation Centre, delve into native bush to see Australian wildlife, especially the namesake attraction: koalas. Two sturdy boardwalks wind through the tree tops where you can get close views of koalas as they eat and rest among the branches. You can also learn more about the iconic creatures from interactive displays in the modern visitor center and take well-groomed trails through 15 acres (6 hectares) of Australian bushland to look for wallabies, echidnas (spiny anteaters) and colorful native birds.
The Churchill Island Heritage Farm showcases the daily activities of a working farm. In the early afternoon, watch demonstrations on how to milk cows, shear sheep and crack whips. Then marvel at working dogs rounding up sheep while following whistle and hand signal commands. Walk around the farm to see Clydesdale horses, Highland cattle, sheep and baby animals. Several historic buildings and gardens that have been in use since the 1850s can also be viewed.
