Sightseeing Tour Only (4.5 hours)
After being picked up from your Sydney hotel, visit the carved sandstone rock known as Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, where Governor Macquarie’s wife sat looking out to sea. Then, take in views of the naval dockyards and wharves of Woolloomooloo. Your tour will also take you through the 24-hour party district of Kings Cross and through the affluent eastern suburbs to Sydney Harbour’s gateway at Watsons Bay and the sandstone cliffs of The Gap.
Next, admire the long golden curve of Bondi Beach and lovely cast-iron balconies as we divert around the back of Paddington on our return to central Sydney. Take a trip down Sydney’s gay and lesbian hub, Oxford Street, and then past the Spanish Quarter and Chinatown to Darling Harbour, where you can go for a stroll around Darling Harbour’s shops and cafes.
The tour continues along the wharves and under the Harbour Bridge, with great views of the harbor and Opera House, to Sydney’s birthplace, the Rocks precinct. Hear tales of the colony’s early history, and stories of sailors and convicts, before enjoying a drive through the financial center and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Sydney’s North Shore.
Joining the Wakehurst Parkway, the tour takes you to Narrabeen Lakes where you will enjoy morning coffee or tea with chocolate cookies (biscuits) at a beautiful lakeside location. Then travel on to Mona Vale Beach, for panoramic sea views over the sandstone cliffs at Warriewood Headland.
Admire long golden beaches at Narrabeen and Collaroy, and pass the Long Reef golf links en route to Dee Why’s rock pool. Watch surfers catching waves and see more great coastal views on the trip over Curl Curl Headland, looking down to the beach and out to North Head.
Stop at Manly Beach to see the surfers and beach volleyball, before traveling back to the city via the Spit Bridge, past Balmoral Beach and the leafy suburbs of Mosman, Cremorne and Neutral to your Sydney hotel, with drop-off at around 12:30pm
Sightseeing Tour Including Lunch (7.5 hours)
After being picked up from your Sydney hotel, head to the historic heart of the city on Macquarie Street for a viewing of the 19th-century sandstone buildings, including the Sydney Hospital, State Library of New South Wales, Parliament House and Hyde Park Barracks, designed in 1819 by convict architect Francis Greenway.
See where Governor Macquarie’s wife sat looking out to sea, waiting for ships arriving from Britain, at the sandstone rock named Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, then visit the naval dockyards and wharves of Woolloomooloo. Next, pass by the neon lights and cafes of the Kings Cross district and through the affluent eastern suburbs to Sydney Harbour’s entry at Watsons Bay and The Gap.
Stretch your legs on famous Bondi Beach and enjoy a light morning tea before following tiny backstreets in the suburb of Paddington, lined with terrace houses with ornate cast-iron balconies. Then, the trip through Sydney’s gay and lesbian hub, Oxford Street, past the Spanish Quarter and Chinatown takes you to the entertainment area of Darling Harbour.
There’s time to go for a stroll around Darling Harbour’s shops and cafes, before continuing along the wharves and under the Harbour Bridge, with great views of the harbor and Opera House.
See Sydney’s original precinct in the Rocks district, and hear a detailed description of the colony’s early settlement, historic buildings and stories of rascals and convicts. After a trip through the financial district, experience the exhilaration of crossing Sydney Harbour Bridge to Sydney’s picturesque northern suburbs.
On the North Shore, the Wakehurst Parkway takes you to Narrabeen Lakes and Mona Vale Beach, for panoramic views over the sandstone coast at Warriewood Headland. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Dee Why Beach Hotel, accompanied by a glass of beer, wine or soft drink.

Great tour which got us around to all the beaches. Nice that our guide let us walk a few paths instead of being in the car the whole time.
