Make your way to Viaduct Harbour to meet your catamaran—a 146-foot (44.5m) beauty with four levels and a huge sundeck—for a lunchtime cruise on lovely Waitemata Harbour. Your Captain welcomes you on board the motorized yacht and provides a brief introduction to the boat. Choose from several comfortable options for indoor or outdoor seating and enjoy 360-degree views from the sundeck.

As your cruise sets out, take in highlights including Auckland Harbour Bridge, the seaside town of Devonport and its twin lookouts of North Head and Mt Victoria, Bean Rock Lighthouse and Bastion Point. The captain shares informative commentary on Auckland’s history, the America’s Cup base here, and iconic landmarks that you pass during the cruise.

Glide by the islands of the Hauraki Gulf—Rangitoto, Motutapu, Motuihe, and Browns Island—and admire the golden beaches and greenery of these small treasures. As you cross the gulf, your crew serves a 3-course lunch that showcases fresh local produce and seasonal dishes. New Zealand wines and other beverages are available for purchase at the yacht’s bar.

On the return to Auckland, get great views of the eastern beaches and city skyline as you come back into shore to end your 2.5-hour cruise.

This turned out to be a great tour since we got to see the orca whales in the Hauraki Gulf. It gives a good sense of the surrounding islands.

Good Comments: Excellent boat, very good crew, lovely lunch, excellent views of Auckland Harbour.
Not so Good: It was advertised as "Your captain provides entertaining and informative commentary about the sights that you pass as you cruise around this lovely part of coastal New Zealand" - however there was no commentary at all. Still a good cruise though - certainly recommended.

Excellent trip, great way to finish a holiday which has been touring in NZ.
Viator need to send further info to explain exactly where you pick up the tour.....all we received was Viaduct Quay! No gate number, etc.....thank goodness another tour operate was able to help!
