Discover the stunning beauty of the Bay of Islands with a scenic cruise and helicopter flight from Paihia. Departing at 10am Cruise out into the bay by sea shuttle, which will take you to a remote island where you’ll be free to explore.
Don’t forget to pack a picnic lunch as you will work up an appetite! You’ll have plenty of time to snorkel, swim in the clear waters, sun yourself on the beach or take a walk along one of the many island walking paths.
Later, board the sea shuttle and transfer to the helipad atop a large floating barge. Then take to the skies for breathtaking scenery, which includes bird’s-eye views of the islands and the Hole in the Rock, a famous natural formation only visible by sea or air, before returning to the mainland where your tour will finish.
All seats on board the helicopter provide spectacular views, and your pilot will provide commentary and point out the must-see sights.

Only problem is there is no option to award 6 Stars!!
One of the top highlights of our NZ trip...
The cruise was fantastic and far exceeded our expectations...fun friendly and professional .
The commentary was informative. Caity and Adam from Sea shuttle BOI were the best...not many
operators will send you a friendly email with free photos after your excursion ! The trip they run is one of the best we've ever been on.
The lunch stop to snorkel and paddle board was great fun ....we had had the best day by then but still had the amazing helicopter flight back to Paihia to enjoy ...and that was the cherry on top of an already excellent cake!!

amazing place and amazing day...the only thing that tainted a perfect day is the lady from the office who was on board....she made some culturally insensitive comments about the history of the islands and really needs to learn a more accurate NZ history.
