The Arctic Centre was Great! Loved it! The city tour was also good. The Tour would have been 5 stars if the 1st stop at the botanic gardens was longer. 20min was only enough time to go to the toilet. and Not enough time to look around the great museum that was there. The 2nd stop was lunch in the city, but because it was only 45min, you only had time eat. Otherwise it was a great tour.

Unfortunately our ship only run 4 tenders the day we arrived, the tour operator waited for us and was fairly well organised Driver was excellent and very well informed and got us back to the ship on timeAntartica centre was great except for the combination with another tour group which made hearing the guide difficult and photo opportunities limited

Very pleasant trip to Christchurch. Very good to see the great restoration after the destruction of the earthquake. The visit to the Antarctica Center was fantastic!!! Great tour!

The guide was knowledgeable on the sites in Christ Church. He provided us with a lot of local info. The highlight was the International Antarctic Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The only difficulty was there was no time to have lunch. We were given 15minutes to eat. It took us 13 minutes to get our food. Other than that we enjoyed this tour.

Overall, I enjoyed this shore excursion but I felt it could have been better. I saw great scenery, learned a lot about Christchurch and the tragic earthquake and enjoyed the International Antarctic Centre's activities. But I also felt that time was wasted perhaps due to some misinformation and timing issues. We had a stop over at the Museum/Botanic Gardens and our driver said that we should consider getting lunch which we did. At our next stop at the International Antarctic Centre, we ended up sitting in the cafeteria for about a half hour. Finally, we arrived back at Akaroa just in time to catch the very last tender back to our ship.

In retrospect, I would have skipped lunch and used that time to explore the Museum/Botanic Gardens. I also wished there was more time allotted at the IAC to see the displays.

Good but a little rushed.

The tour was nice, but too much about the city and not enough time at the Antarctic experience, or the park. Comfortable bus.

Scotty was a fantastic tour guide, full of knowledge and insights into his local town and a fantastic sense of humour to boot. Totally loved Akaroa, just a shame we didnt have the time to enjoy the spot a bit longer.

Our tour guide was great supplying information and keeping everyone on our time limits. We encountered a very busy time at the International Antarctic Centre which did spoil the visit somewhat but was still great to see

Long day of touring but worth seeing the area. A small problem with the tour guide. He had a very heavy accent so was a little hard to understand and there was a problem with his microphone. The best part of the tour was the visit to the International Antarctic exhibit. No lunch was included with the tour, but had time to have lunch and/or snack at the cafe at the International Antarctic exhibit. All-in-all a good tour. Bus was new and very comfortable.
