Really liked the Gondola experience. The views of Queenstown from the top viewing platform are worth the Gondola ride and almost don't look real. The lunch was very good also with lots of food and plenty of choices. I'm glad we decided on lunch rather than dinner for the daylight views of the lake.

what views .went paragliding from the top .the menu is spectacular but not as good as Skyline Rotorua but the views are better .still definitely worth doing

This tour was amazing!

While the lunch was lovely, and views are spectacular, the service was atrocious. We arrived at 11.15am, even though the print out said be there at 11.30am for the 12pm lunch, and found out even though we had paid a full month before the event, that there wasn't a Pre-Paid line, and were told we cant let you cut the line and so had to line up with everyone else who hadn't paid, and it took 40 minutes to get to the top of the line. Meanwhile we saw the staff letting people they clearly knew skip the line, giggling as they were taken through to the gondolas. We were extremely upset as we had pre-booked and pre-paid this in the hopes we would get a window seat - that was the whole point - otherwise we would have just turned up on the day and paid there. If we had been advised to turn earlier because we had to line up we would have done so. But when we asked why there wasn't a pre-paid line, we were yelled at in front of everyone else lining up asking why we were being so aggressive, and that we were on holiday, we shouldn't be so aggressive. We did not ask aggressively, we simply wanted to know what was the advantage in pre-booking, and they should have advised us to get there a full hour before the 12pm lunch booking in order to make sure you get to the restaurant in time. So please be warned you have to line up - or if you're going later in the day try line up and collect your tickets earlier. This may sound petty, but it was disappointing, when we thought like any other attraction, there would be a pre-paid line. As I say nice lunch and lovely views of Queenstown but the customer service left a bad taste!!!!

The view is amazing and well worth the trip. However, the restaurant part did not go well. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 6:15 pm dinner reservation, and were called 15 minutes late to the table. That would have been fine, but we were not told when seated that we had a specific time we would have to leave 1 hour. So we were enjoying the view and buffet in courses, had just ordered a drink and were finishing up our second course at 7:15 pm when an employee told us that we needed to finish and leave by 7:30. I hadn't even had dinner yet! I went up to the buffet to get some, and half of it had already been cleared so I didn't have much to chose from. I put it down at my table, went back to get some desert, and when I returned, the dinner plate which I hadn't touched, was gone. We mentioned this to one of the employees, and the manager and came to our table. They apologized no one informed us of the time limit, and were kind enough to let us stay through to the next seating, though we had to wait 1/2 hour to get more food until they replenished the buffet and they moved us to a different table. While I appreciate that they tried to make things right, it really ruined the evening for us. The buffet was plentiful, and there was a lot to chose from, and what we had was good. Just be aware if you are booking and want to relax and enjoy the experience, go for the earliest booking in a time block, and know that you will have limited time to enjoy. You can always move to the bar if you would like to stay longer.
