This tour departs from either Glenorchy or Queenstown. On arrival every group receives a full safety briefing a equipment. We use double sea kayaks and each person will be outfitted with a spray deck, personal floatation device, jacket and waterproof camera bags are available on request.  

The group launches out and paddles off towards Kinloch on the other side of the Lake Wakatipu, it is roughly a 45minute paddle and at certain times of the year it pays to bring your sunglasses, as it can be very bright. On the foreshore at Kinloch we beach the kayaks, hang out our kayaking gear and walk up to the restaurant at Kinloch lodge. Seated for dinner, all meals are prepared by the chef, they can cater for any dietary requirement and we will pre-order our meals from the menu before the trip departs.

After dinner we rug up warm and paddle back past the confluences of the Dart and Rees rivers. At this time of the evening there are few other people on the lake and the last of the sun moves up to the mountain peaks in front of us. Return times vary through the season as sundown can extend to 10pm in January and 9pm in December or March.
