Milford Sound Nature Cruise (Day 1)
After pickup from your Te Anau hotel, your adventure begins with a scenic 2-hour nature cruise on Milford Sound. Your experienced skipper will tailor the cruise route depending on the weather and wildlife sightings. Feel the mist of a waterfall as your boat nudges close to sheer rock faces, and keep watch for dolphins, seals and rare Fiordland crested penguins when in season.
A specialist guide is on board to give you insight to the history of the region and to answer your questions about the wildlife that calls Milford Sound home. After your cruise, you’ll be taken back to your Te Anau hotel.
Te Anau Glowworm Cave Tour (Day 2)
Today, cruise across Lake Te Anau on board a modern catamaran to Cavern House, located on the western shores. Start your tour at the visitor interpretation center, where a specialist guide will give you an overview of the caves and their glowworm inhabitants.
Then, follow your guide on a unique underground adventure through a twisting network of limestone passages, filled with whirlpools and waterfalls. Take a ride in a small boat and float along the current into the darkness of the glowworm grotto to see the luminous shimmer of thousands of tiny glowworms.
Return to Te Anau where your tour concludes.

Both tours were well organsied. Definitely let the professional coach driver take you from Te Anau to Milford Sound. The driver's Hudson skill and informative commentary made for a relaxing and trouble free journey. We would have missed out on a heap of information and laughs and had a very slow and stressful drive had we attempted it in our motorhome. The two tours over two days is a great package.

The experience of the Milford Sound and the Glowworm caves was exhilarating! We enjoyed it very much. The service element both on the boat, in the offices and the staff generally was way above average! Highly recommended.

This tour was exactly as expected. The bus was clean, the guides were great, and the scenery was beautiful. I highly recommend booking in advance during peak season, you will not want to miss out and the tours fill up daily.

Milford Sound--
The bus is comfortable and ride enjoyable includes commentary and stops to take photos. Boat ride was great, food was enough. Only downside for us was rain, but there's a good reason why this is the 1 tourist activity in NZ.

Glowworm cave--
Great tour, friendly guide. No pictures allowed. Went during summer but it was cold so bring a jacket!

AMAZING!!! What amazing memories to carry with us. We loved every moment. From the bus ride to the nature cruise to the glow worm tour. All well worth it. Better than expected.
(don't forget the insect repellent esp for the Milford cruise oh and also take a rain coat so can stand under waterfall)

The tours were both excellent and informative! thank god we went to the information center because the 2 tours were booked for the same day and the glowworm tour for a different time as we had planned (without telling us!), even though it's a 2day tour! always double check!

We enjoyed our trip out to Milford Sound it was a spectacular day with spectacular scenery. The staff on board were very good, polite and knowledgable. The bus team were excellent, safety always their priority.The Glow Worms tour was also very well organized. Our guide was quite humerous so it was very relaxed.

Milford Sound was great. Coach Stopped at few location for picture taking and hiking. Make sure to bring warm clothing and wind breaker as it can be cold.

Te Anau glow worm cave was disappointing. Guide did little talking. Other tourists talking too much.

we had a pleasant trip by coach from te anue to Milford sound ,by the time we were on the boat the weather
cleared and we enjoyed a nice afternoon on the motor cruiser, a good days outing.
