The wine tour was great! The directions to get to the vineyard from Riomaggiore, however note to get there early as the bus was very crowded and lots of people trying to get on a tiny bus! We were able to harvest some grapes and learn about the drying process, but please note that there are a lot of stairs to climb up and down in direct sunlight so can get tiring and hot, but worth it! Note that if you are afraid of heights, you are walking on stairs on the side of a cliff sometimes without a railing. The climbing was only for about an hour and then you get to sit in the shade, relax and enjoy some wonderful wine! The wine is very unique and we had the best focaccia bread to go with it! Note that you will have to find your way back to the bus without the guide, but it is a much easier walk down! Overall, would highly recommend this for a morning in Cinque Terre!!!! Great experience.

I spent my birthday in cinque terre, manarola. I have to be honest I did think this tour would be a little more of a stroll, but it was a bit challenging and Iam in pretty good shape! ( or at least I thought haha). They hills of riomaggiore are steep with rocky stairs. If you are elderly or out of shape this may be difficult for you. Also I would recommend wearing tennis shoes. But when you get to the top it is more than worth it! You have a view of the vineyards in the hills and the Mediterranean coast. As for the wine, it was pretty good. Especially the last one- which was a dessert wine. FYI for those that do not like white wines/Ros?- This is all they make in riomaggiore according the the climate they can only grow grapes for white wines and ros?. Andrea, the vineyard owner was very informative on the wine making process and very hospitable. Make sure to give yourself enough time to get there, esp. if you are taking the train from another town. We almost missed the bus (van) to the top on the hills where the meeting point was bc we could not locate the bus stop. Overall I had a very enjoyable time, as well as a bit of a workout;)

Great tour! We were anxious about meeting up on schedule but it worked beautifully. This is not a tour of the factory and cellars. This is a great history of Italy and agriculture. The wines were fabulous too. Thank you so much for the adventure.

Our guide Angela was terrific. He toured us on his vineyard, explained more than any wine tour in the USA has ever done. He does all the work himself and runs a basically organic operation he is attempting to be officially certified organic, but it takes 3 years His wines are also terrific. This is the tour to take, for sure!

Andrea was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. Led us through a beautiful walk into the terraced vineyards and back down into the village, where we got to sample some wine in his cellar. Enjoyed the tour and loved the wine.

What an amazing tour. Andrea was an amazing host, showing us around his wonderful vineyard, explaining the whole process he must go through to make his one of a kind wine. Highly recommend this tour to anyone in the Cinque Terre area.

The winemaker had to be phoned to meet us! It was a very rudimentary, I hesitate to call it a winery, wine makers hobby tour.

Super experience. Our guide was an authentic wine maker and as we walked through the vineyard we learned about everything he does to make his wines. We learned a lot about the history of the area and the technical details of growing grapes and making wine. It was really interesting. The scenery was spectacular and the wine we sampled was Buono! Be ready for a good uphill hike and the downhill side was actually more challenging but so worth it.

This tour was great! Andrea was not only a great tour guide but an awesome wine maker as well. It was neat to see what all he has to go through to produce the wine.
