Driver met us at the train station, he was courteous but could not find our hotel. That's OK, we enjoyed our free driving tour of Florence while the driver asked for directions on every street corner.

Great way to avoid uncertainty in a new city. Also don't have to stand in long taxi lines after the trip. Once we were at the hotel and got somewhat familiar with the city, taxis work fine.

Driver on time and personable. He waits for you at the exit of station with a sign.

Totally not necessary, a taxi would have been sufficient. However it was fun to see a guy in a suit holding a sign with my name on it just as I stepped off of the train! Booked this because I was not sure of the taxi situation at the Florence train station.....taxi would have cost me 15 euros at the most!
