If you’re interested in the culture of Florence and the beauty of its architecture, join this 2-hour guided walking tour that takes in the most important monuments of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The walking tour begins at the Piazza San Firenze; home of the Bargello and the Tribunale Fiorentino, once a church and convent complex and now home to the Florence courts.
You'll walk first to the Church of Santa Croce, home to many well-known masterpieces and burial place of some of Italy's most important personages. Next you'll arrive at Piazza Signoria, the heart of the city of Florence since ancient times. It is famous for Neptune's Fountain, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the lovely Piazzale degli Uffizi.
Cross the Ponte Vecchio; the medieval stone bridge famous for its gold jewelry shops, and arrive at the spectacular Pitti palace; former residence of the Medici family -- the ruling dynasty in Florence for nearly 300 years. You'll head back toward the Arno and the historic center along Via Maggio and Ponta Santa Trinita, the favorite bridge of many native Florentines, then pass along Via Tornabuoni where you will see some of Florence's top fashion boutiques.
Stop at the Strozzi Palace; prototype of Renaissance architecture and then finish with the impressive Piazza Republica, built to celebrate the naming of Florence as the capital of a newly united Italy, and the magnificent Florence Cathedral crowned by Brunelleschi's innovative dome.

Even in drizzling rain in Venice, we had an outstanding walking tour. Claudio was excellent with great English and volume. Saw many behind the scenes places, plus highlights. Highly recommended.

Tour guide was super friendly. Very informative and thorough. Her English we very understandable. We saw amazing things in Florence but most importantly enjoyed walking through the lesser used side alleys that open up to more amazing monuments. Highly recommended if you have good shoes and 2.5 hours :P
Our tour ended on opposite direction of where it started. However it is so hard to get lost in the city center. Just use the Duomo Cathedral as a landmark and it is easy to navigate
We all got free Gelato at the end.

Not as good as our Rome day tour. Could not hear the guide, her English was OK but not great and she did not explain things in a way that was easy to understand

Wonderful 2 hr tour. We had a baby and toddler in two and they made sure we didn't need to stop throughout the tour. Very informative. A perfect overview of the city and our guide was very knowledagble. Highly reccomend.

The tour wasn't interesting for us, no fun facts, just formal information. I think Florence has much more to offer then just walking around and telling us facts about buildings and architects. Our guide was nice, but it needs improvements...
