The tour company and guide for this tour was excellent, and the idea of this tour is great... however Portofino was not impressive and San Fruttuoso is so small that on a hot summer day the only beach available is packed with locals who are not friendly and do not want to share the beach. It is a 2.5 hour drive which is fine if the destination is worth but these two location really left my husband and I wishing we had stayed back at the main port of Santa Maria and claimed our own spot on the beach for the day. So if you are looking for touring this is a good tour, but for a beautiful day on the Italian coast, I would rather pay for transportation to Santa Maria in the morning, claim your own spot early and relax on the beach and in the water.

A fantastic day! Breathtaking scenery, fun boat ride and a chance to visit places very different than Florence

Portofino is gorgeous and definitely a must-see. Wish we had a bit more time there though. We had only around 1.5 hours in Portofino and a bit less in San Fruttuoso. Whatever you do, do NOT get the lunch option!!!! The tour description is entirely misleading. It is NOT lunch in a traditional restaurant. You can choose a premade sandwich or an oil-soaked pizza and a drink. Worst food I have ever been served in Italy! Anyway, this is less of a tour and more like organized transportation. Our guide was mediocre at best. She showed no excitement or enthusiasm. Spent her time on the boat with her eyes closed sunbathing. Never pointed anything out. We got very little information on the places we visited and no background to the history or culture of the area. I give it three stars because the places are so beautiful that it's worth going. Just don't expect a tour in the traditional sense. And absolutely do NOT get the lunch!!! Hotel pickup was also incredibly disorganized. I never received any information about my pickup so I just met the group at the train station. Probably the least impressive company I have taken a tour with in Italy. The best thing about it though - not very many people sign up. Only about 12 of us! This is really small for a tour in Italy. Of course it can accommodate more so this size will grow if more people get interested in it.

This tour was a visual delight. Portofino and San Fruttuoso are both tranquil and beautiful. A relaxing and enjoyable tour with a warm and informative guide.

Just wonderful! A beautiful daytrip to some gorgeous places with just the right time at each location. The tourguide was wonderful, very nice and made sure she gave her time and interest to each guest.
