Learn, hands-on, how to prepare wholesome, healthy and delicious Italian traditional meals in a beautiful Cooking School Kitchen in the heart of Florence. Bring seasonal, fresh ingredients and good eating in your everyday life, broaden your knowledge and get inspired. This cooking class nourishes the body and the soul for a radiant level of wellness. Menus are mostly vegetarian but not at all restricted to vegetarian dishes. All products used during our hands-on culinary experiences come from local certified farmers and producers.

Your chef will welcome you to the beautiful kitchen of our well-equipped cooking school.
You'll be introduced to the the world of Italian whole food organic ingredients. Beyond not using synthetic pesticides, chemicals, and herbicides, being organic also promotes sustainability by using natural resources and raising animals responsibly and ethically.
You will discover how to choose local ingredients that are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals so you can make dishes that are much tastier, and good for your body and soul.
This Cooking School is not strictly vegetarian but ingredients from whole plant foods will represent the higher part of the class.
The hands-on class consists of the preparation of a four-course traditional Italian menu.
The appetizer will be prepared with fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs straight from the farmer's field. These may include Sage Leaves and/or Fried Zucchini Flowers fried in Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, Seasonal Vegetable Pat? and other seasonal appetizers.
The first course includes either fresh pasta made with special organic flours, low in gluten or a special risotto made with fine rice selections and other grains commonly used in the Mediterranean diet.
The second course may be prepared with meats from organically raised animals or organic cheeses.
We finish with a seasonal dessert.
The meal is paired with local wine made from organically grown grapes.

    Serena met us outside the central market and took us on a tour of the food market. Serena gave us some history on Florence as well as educated us on where the foods came from and what the traditions are in Italy. We picked up a few items that we needed for the cooking class.

    There were three other couples in the cooking class. Prior to starting the class they served us espresso outside on the patio. The patio had fresh herbs growing around the patio.

    Serena, our chef taught us how to make zucchini stuffed with meat as our appetizer, pici pasta as the main course and cantuci for dessert. What a fun class! Serena was a lovely person who was funny and very knowledgable. Her helper, Laura, was very nice as well. What fun it was to make our out pasta dough and roll out the pici. While we waited for the dough to set, they served us Prosecco.

    After the meal was complete, we all sat at a table to enjoy our meal. Everything was delicious! They served us wine of course with our meal and homemade ice cream with our cantuci. We also had the option to dip our cantuci in our dessert wine.

    My husband and I loved this class so much. It was one of the best things that we did in Italy. We highly recommend this class! Serena is such a wonderful person and it was so nice getting to know her!

    Absolutely wonderful. Rosanna was an excellent teacher, patiently working with each of us. We all came with different levels of cooking skill, and she managed the class so well that the four course dinner was one of the best I had in Italy. It was a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving day. I highly recommend this course to anyone visiting Florence and looking for a unique experience.
