The trip begins with a train ride from Florence to the coastal village of Viareggio.

While in Viareggio, you will enjoy a wonderful seafood dinner in a pleasant Italian square and spend the night in a typical mountain lodge.

The next morning, your will have a 3 hour hike, based on your skill level, in the Apuan Alps on mountain trails and a lunch in mountain restaurant.

You then take a shuttle down to the beach for a nice relaxing afternoon on an exclusive beach. Prior to departure, you will enjoy a slice of traditional cecina, a local pizza-like snack. Afterwards, our shuttle will take you to the train station for a quick train ride back to Florence (approx at 8pm).

This multi-day trip allows you to break away from the crowded streets and leave the tourists behind.

You will get to enjoy both the beautiful beaches and majestic mountains and savour authentic local cuisine.
