Combo Ticket Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper plus Exhibition Codex Atlanticus at Bramante's Sacristy and Ambrosiana Library: visit the three museums on the same date!
Skip-the-Line The Last Supper:
Leonardo da Vinci’s fresco depicts one of the most famous New Testament scenes when Jesus announced an apostle would betray him. Capturing the emotions of the moment, The Last Supper is considered an unconventional piece of art for its time.
The experimental method by which it was painted led to conservation issues, and the painting was subject to major restoration and visitor restrictions. Today, visitors must prebook with a ticket such as this, and groups are limited to just 25 at a time.
Skip past the long entrance lines and head inside to see the iconic mural close-up, in all its restored glory. Your ticket allows you to spend a maximum of 15 minutes in The Last Supper room.
Bramante's Sacristy:
The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie was built from 1465 to 1482 by Guiniforte Solari. Starting in 1490 Ludovico il Moro ordered important architectural changes. He commissions Bramante with building the new tribune, and Leonardo da Vinci with painting The Last Supper. Bramante enlarged the church with a great Renaissance tribune, adding the cloister and the new sacristy.
The Ambrosiana Library, Art Gallery and Academy:
The Library:
With close to 700,000 prints, including thousands of incunabula,15,000 manuscripts - in addition to the famous Codex Atlanticus - the Ambrosiana Library displays two of the 10 most important manuscripts in the world in Italian, Latin, Greek, Arabic, Syriac, Ethiopian, and other languages.
The Art Gallery:
Discover the Cardinal Federico Borromeo's 1618 donation of passionately collected works of art form the original core of the Art Gallery.
