Our guide Louise was brilliant. She really brought to life what we were seeing and at this time of year the crowds are bad at all.

The guide brought to life the Vatican and the artists. I almost felt like I didn’t need to see the Sistine Chapel as it was so beautifully described and explained. I will certainly use this company again.

First of all, our guide was top notch, both knowledge and delivery wise. Nothing to complain about there.
Did we skip the lines? Yes, I think as much as it is phyiscally possible. There are SOOOO MANY PEOPLE that you come out of it hating people! It's just insane. It takes the pleasure out of it. We took the 9am tour on a Friday. I also think that our weekend was a popular one with school vacations and religious holidays so that may have added maybe 10-20%. Nothing that the tour had control over. However, it's at times of crises that decisions are best judged. To avoid the crowds or follow Vatican rules, we kept standing in places sometimes with nothing to look at where we had to listen to our guide for long periods of times. It is always more tiring to stand on your feet immobile than to walk. I think the itinerary needs to be modified so that we receive necessary background information either while we are moving and have something to look at or while we're seated somewhere. By the time we arrived at the St Peter Basilica, we were absolutely exhausted. That's after being almost 3 hours on our feet. Will I do it again? No way! Would I recommend this tour? Yes, but with huge warning signs that reads: AT YOUR OWN RISK!

It was great to skip the line for the Vatican museum, but our tour guide did not take us to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica stating he could not. He did direct us to the Sistine Chapel and other tour guides were in there. We were confused when exiting the Chapel and missed St. Peter's Basilica.

Faster than skip the line gains entry to the Vatican very quickly but once inside you join the masses of people working their way slowly round the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
The three hour tour was given by a guide who had a good command of English - though one of us had a malfunctioning headset and so missed much of what was being said.
There is so much to see in the Vatican Museums and Sistine chapel that the whole of the three hour tour could be spent just visiting these. Oh, wait a minute - that's what happened. As a result the tour guide wasn't able to show us around St Peter's Basilica, but I suppose two out of three ain't bad!?!

Overall, very satisfied and glad we took this tour. It was nice to skip the lines and we see the important sites of the Vatican. We toured on Saturday. The museum area was very crowded with much bumping into each other and unfortunately some other groups pushing their way through. The Sistine Chapel was noisy despite constant requests by security to be quiet and respectful. Our guide did a great job of explaining the chapel’s paintings ahead of time so we understood what we saw once inside. It was also nice to have time to view the paintings as a group and then on our own. We explored St Peter’s too 1st as group and then on our own which gave each person time to reflect and see what was important to them.

Our guide Laura was excellent explaining in detail throughout the whole tour. The entrance to the Vatican museum was faster than we thought possible.

So happy we choose to tour the Vatican. Our tour guide was amazing! We can't wait to come back and visit.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and had a good sense of humor. It was impressive how he easily kept track of us in such a big crowd and regularly did a count of his group. We got a good and detailed tour for our money. Downside (not the problem of Viator) is how overly crowed it was (and apparently this is not the busy time). At times I felt panicky and claustrophobic which made me want to get through everything as quickly as possible and get out in the air. Too bad the volume of people going through at once could not be limited/controlled for a more enjoyable experience for all.

Our tour guide was great and very informative. This has been our 3rd tour with city wonders and they never disappoint!
