Wow!!! The Colosseum and the Vatican are beautiful... I loved the fact that our tour consisted of only 5 people. It was amazing. I was very glad we booked this tour, we had direct access to both places and avoided the long lines.

I had booked this tour in February for a late April 2-day trip to Rome. Apparently, this was actually two separate tours and the afternoon tour of the Vatican did not have enough participants to actually take place. They claimed they tried to email me, but traveling, I was not as connected to email as usual. However, I never received any emails from the tour operator, including in my spam folder.

When we arrived at the Colosseum in the morning, I was informed of the change in plans and offered the tickets for the skip the line portion of the afternoon tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica or a refund of half the total paid. Since we only had this one day remaining in Rome and my partner had never been to Rome before, we elected to just get the tickets to the Vatican sites. But I was later told that the tour operator never purchased our tickets at all. I tried in vain while walking through the Colosseum to book online to at least see the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, but, of course, there were no same-day tickets available online. So after the very nice morning tour, we set off independently to the Vatican, only to find tremendously long lines to visit both the museums and St. Peter's. We finally gave up, not wishing to stand in hours-long lines. I purchased this tour in order to save our very limited and valuable time, and it greatly disappointed me how this situation was handled. I also have not received a refund yet and will now have to take more of my valuable time to rectify the situation. I would not recommend this company at all. With this being said, the tour guide herself for the morning part of the tour was very knowledgeable and engaging.

I like the tour but I thought it would be a 8 hour tour and is not is divide in to two different tour one in the morning and one in the afternoon by the way be prepared to find yourself to the second part because the tour person don't take you there so me and my mom had to take a cab over since is not very close and we didn't wanted to get loss another thing you have to pay a non- refundable deposit for the head piece for the second part of the tour overall it was good but if could be better if they don't divide the tours.....

With only a day to see as many sights as possible, this tour was wonderful. Two couples with a private tour guide - fantastic!

Guides were excellent and the tour offered a great opportunity for an overview of Rome. It is a lot of walking but that is the best way to see everything. Could have better suggestions for transfer to the Vatican area.

What a fantastic tour of the Colosseum/Forum/Pantheon/Piazza Navona! Lena was the absolute best guide we could've asked for. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and genuinely loves her city and it's history. She was impressive with her historical facts and we learned a tremendous amount from touring with her. Our afternoon tour guide for the Vatican was not as good as Lena. While she provided the headsets so we could hear everything she was saying. Even while she was walking and we could not see her, she continued speaking and sharing history. The Vatican guide did not want to use the headsets which he said we needed to get from the museum itself. We could hardly hear him over all the other tourists/groups. It was frustrating to not be able to hear the history. He pointed out a select few details, and overall we just weren't impressed. I would HIGHLY recommend asking for Lena if you do this tour, which is truly worth every dollar.

A good tour while in Rome. The only downside was the amount of walking. They could use a shuttle to transport in between the colosseum and Vatican.

Really good, Helena and Andrea were excellent as tour guides, skipping queues was fab as even in May the places were heaving. A lot of money but definitely worth it

Absolutely unforgettable tours with guides that seemed to have encyclopedic knowledge of both the Colosseum and Vatican.

Cannot recommend it enough. Small group, friendly and interesting guides. Even our 12 year old stayed fully engaged for the full 8 hour day! It's more than a month later and we're still reflecting on all that we saw and learned on our insightful tour.

If you're hesitating, DON'T! We would do this same exact tour over again in a heartbeat. It's a bit expensive, but for the knowledgeable guides, fast pass entrances and engaging guides...it's absolutely worth it.

Skip everything else and take this tour!

Our tour guide for the Colosseum was almost a half hour late but, she was pleasant and informative. It was great to have a tour guide because we would have missed a lot of stuff. In the afternoon, our tour guide for the Vatican was good as well.
