Tour with Pinecone Courtyard breakfast:
Take a seat for your outdoor buffet breakfast, which includes Italian and American items such as pastries, meats, cheese, eggs and pancakes made right in front of you. Sip coffee and fresh orange juice while you enjoy the tranquil setting of a quiet Vatican, before the crowds arrive.
After eating, follow your guide into the Vatican Museums complex, which is still closed to the general public at this point (there will probably be a few other pre-booked tour groups inside with you). In your small group limited to 16 people, let your guide show you the highlights of this vast landmark during your 2.5-hour tour. Visit the Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapestries and Raphael’s Rooms before making your way to the Sistine Chapel, the pope’s private place of worship where you can gaze in awe at Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment frescoes.
Finish up inside St Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll hear about the history of the artwork here before your tour ends.
Tour with breakfast and Vatican Gardens:
Enjoy a hearty American breakfast buffet in the Vatican cafeteria, where you can fill up on croissants, muffins, pancakes, fruit, cereal, cookies and made-to-order eggs, accompanied by espresso, American-style coffee and fresh juice.
After breakfast, hop on an open-air coach for a 45-minute tour through the Vatican City State, listening to historical stories and interesting facts from your guide during the ride. Pass by sights very rarely seen by members of the public, such as the Vatican railway station, the Great Jubilee bell, the meditation gardens used by popes since the 1200s and the pope’s private heliport. The Vatican Gardens are only accessible on select guided tours, so this is a unique way to see more of Vatican City than the typical visitor.
When the coach tour ends, your experience continues back at the Vatican Museums, where you’ll follow your historian guide through the galleries’ many artistic masterpieces, finishing up at St Peter’s Basilica (same Vatican Museums tour as described above).

This tour was the highlight of our whole 3 weeks in Italy and it was mainly due to our incredible guide, Leecha?. She has a beautiful speaking voice, a gift for telling the tales of history and her passion for the subject was extremely obvious and endearing. Breakfast was in the Vatican cafeteria and the pancakes were delicious. We just loved the access we had to the Vatican Gardens, and our delightful wander through the Vatican Museums. Leecha left us all at the Sistine Chapel where I marveled at the artistry for half an hour or so. As we did the tour on the Wednesday the square was closed until 12:30pm but we timed it so that we exited the Sistine Chapel at this time And went straight into St Peters Basilica and then out into the Square. A fantastic tour, and a must do when in Rome!

Delved deep into each panel on the ceiling. Spoke very clear English, hope you get Dave if you're from the US. Osteen we got Italian guides who were hard to understand. Ina earlya afternoona ...... add a to every word. A bit tough trying to stay with the group because of the crowd so stay close to the leader.

Yes, you have to get up early to get there but it was so worth it. The early access was great. No Lines!!! Breakfast was ok but when you think about where you are, you are really there for the food? No. Our guide, Doriana, was impressively intelligent and funny. I never do tours but am go glad I did this one. I would recommend to anyone. Not having to wait in lines and being given pearls of wisdom was heavenly. By the time we were done, 3 hours and 40 minutes later, Vatican City was packed. If I ever visit Rome again, I would take this adventure again.

We booked this tour for our final day in Rome, and it did not disappoint! The breakfast was very good and our guide Manuella was superb! She was so knowledgeable about all of the subject matter and quite entertaining! She knew exactly where to guide us and tell us where to stand, that she was able to strategize our experience so that we gained the most from it! Sure, you don't have time to see everything at the Vatican Museum, but it would take you over a year to do so! This is for the highlights and we came away feeling that we got the
royal treatment! We would definately recommend this tour!

Our guide Mareena—-was awesome. Breakfast was amazing. I wish we could of had some free time in St. Peter’s before she “let us go”

This tour was great. The breakfast was very good. The tour guide was the best tour guide I have had in the last 50 years that I have traveled. His name was Gigi. He was extremely informative. He was a younger man but it seemed as though he lived during the entire time, since the inception of the Vatican. He knew all the names in every painting. He made the Map Room so enjoyable with his knowledge and wit. His explanation of how the tapestries were made and the characters was great. could go on and on, but I would bore you. Hopefully when you take this tour, you to will be as fascinated as I was. Ask for Gigi.........................................Alan R

Always a good idea to get out early ahead of the crowds. Skipping the lines saves hours. Our guide, Gia, was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the Vatican, it’s architecture and art.
