Picked this tour as did not want to do a long coach journey..and i wasnt disappointed everything was well organised from the train tickets, coach and guide in Pompeii even had free time for quick lunch or souvenier shopping..
Guide was very enagaging and encouraged questions..
Yes tour was bit on the dear side but takes away any hassles of doing it yourself so makes the trip more memorable and enjoyable

What a great tour. No hiccups along the way just great service from start to finish. I would highly recommend the small group setting. The audio headsets enabled us to hear our guide at all times.

Getting to Pompeii early via fast train helped make this tour even more enjoyable. Easy access from Naples station to the site, and we had an excellent tour guide for the ruins.

Minus the rain we had an amazing tour of Pompeii. Taking the train is highly recommended and our tour guides were very helpful and knowledgeable!

A long but enjoyable day. Met others at train station for 1 hour ride to Naples and short bus ride to Pompeii. Amp split to 20 or so for Pompeii guided tour which was thorough and kept interesting. More walking than expected and a little disorganized at end.

Pompeii was amazing, such a great place to walk around. So full of history, highly recommended..

You wouldn't think that this would be a worthwhile length of time for a tour to Pompeii. But it is. You meet your guide outside the Rome Termini station and the trip is explained and you are guided onto the train. The very high speed train, which only takes 70 minutes to take you to Naples, where you are met by another guide and taken to a bus to Pompeii, then introduced to an onsite guide who takes you round Pompeii for two hours. Then you get time to eat and buy souvenirs and then you are taken back to the bus and back to Naples where you are put on the train back to Rome. Unless you are a student particularly studying Pompeii in which case you would be staying there this is a fine tour. Take water and sunscreen and a hat.

The instructions on where to meet were a bit confusing for us and our Uber Driver did not drop us off at the proper meeting place. After several phone calls, we finally met the group....but it was extremely stressful. Other than that, the tour was great. The train ride and bus ride were so worth it getting from Rome to Pompeii. And the tour was perfect. I wish we could have spent more time there but I believe we saw the highlights. It was summer time so the crowds were crazy. And it was extremely hot. If you go in August, I suggest you bring a hat and lots of water. At the end of the tour, we were given free time. My family enjoyed lunch at the restaurant at the enterance. Perfect amount of time.

Really enjoyed this tour. The train ride was smooth and comfortable. The Pompeii tour was outstanding. The tour guide had us all wear headsets so we could all hear him perfectly. He was very knowledgeable and really made Pompeii come alive. We returned to Rome in time to get on the hop on hop off bus right at the train station and tour around the city.

In spite of the heat, perhaps one of the best days we had in Italy. Having no preconceived notions, we found the experience fascinating. There was so much to learn and the material was presented in such a way that everyone in the small group was interested.
