This was a fabulous trip. There were 6 of us and we were very lucky as we were the only ones on this tour. We were picked up at our rental apartment, a driver and a guide. Once in Pompeii we had another guide, Hector who was terrific, just for us. We stopped enroute to Positano in Sorrento for pictures and a small bit of shopping. The guide walked us down the beautiful winding streets of Positano and suggested a fabulous restaurant on the beach. We had plenty of time to wander and shop. The day couldn't have been better.

EXpensive ,but well worth the money. WE had a wonderful day without any lines or crowds to deal with . There were 4 of us, and we had a private guide and van driver for a comfortable drive down to the Amalfi coast. The highlight is the tour of Pompeii which is included , where we had a private tour. The guide and driver were both charming, friendly and made the day special. Having plenty of time on our own at the beach resort at at lunch gave the family great memories.

We enjoyed our trip, although a long drive, the trip was fantastic! Our guide and driver were both professional and nice!

Very rushed, especially Pompei. Guide in the van useless. He provided zero information. All you need is a driver. The guide in pompei was very good. Smart, enthusiastic and informative. I could have spent all day. Amalfi beautiful but a long way to go for short time. Hire a driver. Way too expensive

It was brillient.Carlo brought alive Pompeii..Amalfi Coast was amazing but the winding roads do create issues for kids.

This tour was definitely one off the highlites of our vacation to Rome and 12 day Cruise to the Greek Islands and Israel.

Our driver and tour guide picked us up at our hotel in Rome, right on time. Much to our surprise, we were the only people on this Sunday tour. The small group tours are the best but this ended up being a Private tour no less ! Our guide, Guliano, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver, Jean Luc, was also friendly and did a great job negotiating the traffic. Together, they made this a tour to be remembered. When we got to Pompeii, we had another private tour of the ruins with Pablo. He was incredible and gave us so many insights into the background and history of Pompeii, he was amazing.
Then they took us to The Amalfi Coast cities of Amalfi and Positano. The villages were amazing. We had plenty of time for some shopping and a nice lunch. We want to come back again and will certainly book with Viator again.

To say this was amazing would be an understatement! We were picked up exactly on time and while it was a long day, it was absolutely fabulous. The private guide/expert who met us in Pompeii Danny was VERY knowledgeable about what we were seeing. He explained things in detail and gave us a better appreciation for it. After Pompeii, we drove to Positano along the beautiful coast. Marco our driver was an expert in driving and we felt very safe/comfortable. Our guide pointed things out to us along the way and we never felt rushed or bored. The restaurant recommended to us in Positano was wonderful. We had a final stop in Amalfi for limoncello tasting. It was an absolute perfect day. As a Concierge for very ultra high net worth credit card holders, I will definitely be recommending this tour to my clients. Without a doubt!

Really wonderful tour - we felt really spoilt with a private car and driver and separate tour guide. And just the right amount of conversation which could have been difficult in such a small group.
Pompeii was amazing and could actually spend even more time there. It is something everyone should try to visit on their Italy holiday if possible. And then there was the Amalfi Coast - beautiful views that we were given plenty of time to admire and photograph from the best vantage points. Our tour guide gave us a recommendation for a place to have lunch and he was spot on - right on the beach and a great meal. Burnt butter and sage sauce on the pasta was probably one of the best pastas on our holiday. Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi - hard to say which was our favourite - all of them!! Do this tour if you can
