Day 1: Rome Florence (L)
Leave Rome by train and travel north out of the Lazio region into the rolling hills of Tuscany. Your destination is the Tuscan capital of Florence -- the city considered as the birthplace of the Renaissance! After checking in to your hotel, set off on a city tour to see Florence’s highlights with your guide. You’ll take in Florence Duomo, seeing its distinctive orange dome dominating the city skyline, before heading inside its museum to see Michelangelo’s The Deposition a sculpture that’s often referred to as the ‘third Pieta.’ See Florence Baptistry with its Romanesque architecture and then pose for photos in front of Giotto’s Campanile a magnificent bell tower in the heart of Piazza del Duomo.
Visit the square considered as the heart of the city -- Piazza della Signoria -- to see the grand Palazzo Vecchio, as well as a copy of Michelangelo’s David sculpture that stands outside the Accademia Gallery. After taking very nice pictures of the Gallery, get ready to enter to Uffizi Gallery. Stop for lunch in a local restaurant, and then send the rest of your afternoon at leisure. Maybe take a stroll along Florence’s famous bridge the Ponte Vecchio and explore the neighborhood of Oltrarno neighborhood on the other side of the River Arno.
Overnight: 3-star Hotel Machiavelli Palace, 4-star Cellai Hotel or Hotel Atlantic Palace, or 4-star superior Hotel Calzaiuoli or Hotel de la Ville in Florence
Day 2: Florence Pisa (B)
After breakfast in your hotel, get ready to go to Pisa meeting your guide at 8:45am at the meeting point (reach the meeting point on your own). You will travel to the nearby city of Pisa roughly an hour’s drive west of Florence. Enjoy a walking tour of the center, taking in the main monuments of Cathedral Square (Piazza dei Miracoli). Explore inside Duomo di Pisa, and see the Baptistry, Campo Santo and of course, the square’s crowning glory the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Pose for obligatory pictures in front of the famously lopsided tower, and then learn about the Romanesque architecture of the equally enchanting Duomo, standing just next to it. Return to Florence by coach and spend your night doing whatever you please.
Overnight: 3-star Hotel Machiavelli Palace, 4-star Cellai Hotel or Hotel Atlantic Palace, or 4-star superior Hotel Calzaiuoli or Hotel de la Ville in Florence
Day 3: Florence Venice (B)
Enjoy breakfast and then spend your morning at leisure. Check out of your hotel in the afternoon, and then enjoy a hassle-free transfer to Santa Maria Novella Station for your train to Venice. The train is the quickest method of transport between the two cities, so after boarding your train, sit back and relax, watching the Tuscan countryside flash past you on your 2-hour journey.
After arriving at Venice Santa Lucia Station, hop aboard a transfer boat and travel to your hotel in style. Check in to your hotel and then spend the rest of your afternoon and evening at leisure.
Overnight: 3-star Hotel Capri, 3-star superior Hotel Villa Igea, 4-star Hotel Principe or Hotel Carlton Grand Canal, or 4-star superior Hotel Savoia and Jolanda in Venice
Day 4: Venice (B)
Relax over breakfast in your hotel and then meet your guide in the center of town at Piazza San Marco (St Mark’s Square) for your morning city tour of Venice. As you explore by foot, your guide will show off Venice’s highlights while regaling you with little-known facts and history about the city. Admire Doge's Palace, from where the doges of Venice once ruled, and then head inside St Mark’s Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) to see Italian Byzantine architecture at its finest. Dripping with gold and ornate mosaics, the cathedral came to symbolize the wealth and power of 11th-century Venice.
Head back outside and stop for photos by St Mark’s Campanile the cathedral’s iconic, red bell tower and learn about the three interconnecting buildings next to it that are known collectively as the Procuratie. Go off-the-beaten tourist trail on a visit to Campo Santa Maria Formosa, where buskers play music and locals browse market stalls, and then wander over to Santi Giovanni e Paolo -- a large church known locally as the ‘Pantheon of Venice.’ Other top attractions seen include Marco Polo’s House, where the intrepid explorer once lived, and Malibran Theatre (Teatro Malibran) where Marco Polo’s family palace once stood.
Return to your hotel and spend the rest of your afternoon and evening, sightseeing independently or simply relaxing.
Overnight: 3-star Hotel Capri, 3-star superior Hotel Villa Igea, 4-star Hotel Principe or Hotel Carlton Grand Canal, or 4-star superior Hotel Savoia and Jolanda in Venice

Organisation for Florence train and hotel transfer was poor though tour in Florence was very good with an excellent local guide. Pisa trip was very good with again an excellent local guide. Venice hotel transfer was good as was tour next day. More information on Hotel addresses and more detailed maps of Florence and Venice would have helped in finding hotels and meeting points for tours.

This tour I would not recommend should you expect to be touring with others outside of the Day Trippers. Our first Day Tour Guide was friendly enough but couldn't supply all our information initially. My understanding we'd book into hotel, then go on the walking tour. Not so.. our bags were collected from train station. We had to find our own way to the hotel with just street name no number. It was a lucky punt to choice right direction. The guides were nice, however the Venice Walking Tour with Cathedral turned out only 1 hr walking tour, no Cathedral as it wasn't listed on our voucher. Not impressed. Each day we had to meet the guide and wait ages for everyone else. Despite our instructions to arrive on time. Advise to others, book your own travel and accommodation and Day Trips. The motels were barely 4 Star and the Venice counter staff weren't the most helpful. The Pisa Trip was awesome. The other tours lagged then rushed or cut short. Positive: the train ride was nice enough but its not a tour if you are expecting others company in the evenings like other tours I have been on.

It started well. As expected, we were being fetched from our hotel in Rome to Florence. After the tour, the nightmare begins.
1 Being foreign to Italy, we SEARCHED our way to the hotel OURSELVES and by asking around. We almost gave up after searching for MORE THAN 2 hrs! Further, the guide had WRONGLY marked on the map..!!
2 Upon reaching the hotel, we were asked for voucher. The guide earlier had told us that we DO NOT NEED to do anything except collect our room key. We had to wait for an hour to check with the agent again re voucher.
3 Trip to Venice. We almost MISSED our train! We were looking and waiting for a tour guide, just like our trip from Rome to Florence. 30mins before train departure, still no sign of any tour group or tour guide. We run back to the hotel if they could help contacting the agent but it was Christmas! We were thinking of how to get the ticket. We run back to the train station when were told that the vouchers were the tickets. We were still not sure if there will be a group with tourist guide to Venice or just us, we decided to board the train ourselves wondering what is going to happen next in Venice! To our surprised, there was an agent waiting at train station and sent us to the hotel. We realised that this 5D trip is like a “hopping trip”. One place we searched our way out; another place we had an agent. Wonder why was not consistent!
4 Hotel in Venice. We had opted for 3 STAR hotel buy we ended-up at 4 star hotel! We don’t need a luxury hotel as we don’t have kids or elderly travelling with us and we were out most of the time. Wonder why this was changed without informing us!
Looking at the itinerary from the website, “5-Day Italy Trip: Florence, Pisa and Venice”, “Day 1 to Day 5”, very promising and felt secured. Little do we realised that it was actually a “hopping tour”, we still need to be INDEPENDENT as we still need to TRAVEL and SEARCH OUR WAY. I would rather book hotel/ train myself..!!

Rome to Florence, with. Half day trip to Pisa, then on to Venice.
A good circuit with lots to see and do. Opted for the 4 star option. Hotel Atlantic in Florence was great. Good sized room, amazing staff. Florence stop included a tour to Uffizi and a walk around Florence. The tour of Uffizi was too rushed and we didn't get to see the museum to its extent. This tour option should be reconsidered by Viktor so as to offer more to the tourist. Tour guides were amazing. We had a half day tour from Florence to Pisa. Tour guides were amazing but again the tour was rushed. I believe we would have been better off getting to Pisa on our own to see more and not to be rushed. Train seats were as expected to Venice and the Carlton on the Grand Canal is a good hotel. We didn't get the option to have a room facing the Canal through Viktor. I was in Venice to enjoy the full experience and so we paid extra to the hotel to get a room with a view. The tour of Venice included in the package was dead on. The guide was very informative and helped us get our bearings in Venice. Over all, a good experience with lots of sights to see.

Gave you enough me time, but you still had to expertise there to show you around each city. Hotels suggested were in great locations, and pretty good condition. Highly recommend this!

We had a wonderful time and Francesca was delightful.

Watch out for your expectations on this tour, it took a while before I found anyone from the tour company at the first meeting point who knew about this tour. (Francesca was excellent) However I had booked this "tour" so that this part of my holiday would be travelling with a group guiding me through Italy. However it is a bunch of small tours run by different companies put together (you just get vouchers for each item) and you still have to figure out how to get where (and pay to get there) and find your new guide at each point. When booking this tour the "free time" was appealing to me, however there is much more of it than it sounds in the description. The only reason I would give for someone to do this trip is if they want to have someone coordinate their travels as far as timing, and are happy that they will still be travelling alone. However I believe that if I had booked the tours and hotels separately it would have cost me a great deal less, (at least half). Also none of the companies took any responsibility when there were errors, it was always one of the others responsibilities and you are left with no recourse to get satisfaction. I would not do it again.
