I will be brief. This review is for Itinerary number: 1076429269 where I paid for a water taxi to take us straight to our hotel in Venice. Unfortunately, the Viator driver did not take us to our hotel. Worse, he dropped us off to a station that was not even near our hotel, so I paid for a porter service to carry our luggages. The taxi driver knew well where our hotel was, because he pointed us to its direction. We found out later from other hotel folks that there were many other nearer stations where the driver could have dropped us off. And to think that we even tipped him! I will pass on this info to other people, especially thru the internet, so that people traveling are not taken advantage of. This was truly a ripoff! When I booked this I made it clear that I wanted a dropoff to our hotel or very close to it. Viator also does not provide an easy way to submit complaints like this via an email. Instead, Viator provides a general number that is truly geared for booking reservations.

The tour operator hired a third party water taxi to transport us, our hotel-the Sina Centurion Palace, has a private dock on the grand canal for its patrons to use. Dispute my instance, the taxi driver refused to take us to our hotel and instead demanded that we disembark at a dock in Rialto located 1km walking distance on the opposite side of the canal from our hotel. We had to spend an additional 14 euro to purchase tickets on the city water bus to get us dropped off at a dock next to our hotel.
For our return trip, our hotel arranged for a private water taxi to pick us up at our hotel dock for less than we paid for this tour. THIS TOUR IS A BAD DEAL!

Do not sign up for a shared taxi! The taxi people are rude, you wait in line, they do not take you to your hotel, even if it is on a canal, and the fee is higher than arranging a taxi, when you arrive. The water taxi driver made us get off at Rialto Bridge and we had to walk over 3 bridges with our luggage to our hotel located on a canal! If we wanted to walk from Rialto Bridge, we would have gotten on a Vaporetti. We had our hotel arrange a water taxi back to the train station and we paid less than the shared taxi with hotel pick-up and train station drop off!!

Booked this taxi service from Viator. It was difficult to find the office at first place in Venice train station. Once I found they made me wait for 30 minutes till I got my turn. Only to realize hat they have another (Aliliguana) office at same location that handle taxi's . When I reached there nothing was waiting for me for transfer they booked called taxi operators and booked a water taxi. After some wait the taxi guy was so angry about why they would send only 2 guys to this taxi. He wanted more people. It took about 2-3 hours to reach hotel. Its better you book a taxi at train station itself that is so easy. This was like paying money for trouble but no convenience.

When I called for this reservation, I was assured (and I ask 3 times) that I would be dropped off at the hotel. Needless to say, that did not happen -- I was dropped off near St. Mark's Square. Had no idea where the hotel was so I had to get someone to put the luggage (2 bags) on a carrier and take me to the hotel. Had not included this extra cost in my travel budget. Am very disappointed on the kind of information that you conveyed to the customer and yet it was completely in error.

everything worked fine and got us to the hotel with no problems and dropped us off right by our hotel.

Difficult to find kiosk in the general tour information booth, but eventually woman there was very helpful. Need more direction between her and finding actual boat to take...... but it was nice. Be prepared to walk to your hotel from the dock if you need to.

Not easy to find the ticket office, should have a sign outside the office.
We paid us160.76 for 4 person on shared arrival transfer by water taxi from train station to the hotel, however, on departure, we hired a water taxi back to the train station and only cost Euro 65.-.

The drop off is somewhere in the vicinity of your hotel and not actually at your hotel which the post makes you believe. For somebody who has not been to Venice and has no idea of the lay of the land, I felt deceived by the service I bought.
