We very much enjoyed this activity. It was a bit of a walk in the heat from the meeting point to the vaporetto stop to get the waterbus to Murano. However once in the factory we had a relaxing time with water and iced tea being offered before watching two glass blowing demonstratons with explanations. This was short but pleasant and we then had the workshop which we feel was much more suitable to children than to adults but our children enjoyed making simple mosaics and we made keyrings. If we had just gone for the factory tour we might not have thought it worthwhile but the shop was amazing. The staff were genuinely very helpful and not too pushy. Our guide then very kindly walked with us back to the vaporetto stop to ensure we went the right way back to where we wanted to be in mainland Venice.

The tour and workshop was one of the highlights of our visit to Venice. The guide met us in an easy to find, central location and led us on a 15 minute walk to our private boat that took us out to Murano. The staff at the glass factory were friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. The glassblowing demonstration by the master was amazing! I highly recommend this tour. Be aware that getting back to central Venice is by public transportation and you are on your own. The guide did tell us exactly where to go, but did not explain the queuing system and that there are multiple boats going to different destinations in Venice. The quickest way is taking the 7 line that goes directly back to San Marco.

This was very ok. The demonstration was very short, impressive but quick. Then we made jewelry or a mosaic but it was quite low end.

Excellent! We met our first tour guide in central Venice, who guided us from the water taxi ride to Murano and to the glass factory. A gentleman greeted us, talked us through the glass blowing demonstration and answered questions. Next, we were greeted by Silvia and guided to the workshop where we made bracelets with Murano glass beads. Great self-made souvenir from our trip! Both the tour guide and Murano glass factory staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, interesting, fun and also learn about the history of Murano!

The guide was poorly prepared and I gave it two stars only because I enjoyed making the bracelet. What a rip-off tour!

The tour was good, but I have done other glass blowing tours that were much better. We took a water taxi over to Murano not included in the cost of the tour, which was nice. When we got there we watched the glass master create 2 pieces, one of which was very quickly. It was quite impressive actually. Than we went to the workshop where you used glass beads made at the factory to create a keychain, bracelet, or set of earrings. It was neat, but slightly childish at the same time. After you were finished you could walk through the shop. I kinda felt like the actual glass blowing demonstration was very short and rushed, but it was a nice day and a good way to get to see some of the other islands.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide first met us by the Carlo Goldoni statue, and led us to the water bus depot she was knowledgeable and gave us information on daily water-bus tickets. We arrived at the Murano Glass Factory island, and was greeted by our factory guide, Silvia. Again she was excellent and led us to workshop to make glass souvenirs before watching the Master Glass-blower. After the demonstration, we strolled through many displays of Murano glass items for purchase...which we did! A few small momentos to bring home of Murano Glass! A good value for a quick tour.

THIS WAS NOT AS ADVERTISED!!!! I have been on numerous Viator tours in Paris and Italy and this was a rip-off. We were delivered by our guide from Venice to the island of Murano and then handed over to what we realized after the demonstration of glass blowing was a high pressure salesman who proceeded to high-pressure us to buy a 1,000 vase. After telling him I was there for a workshop, he sarcastically asked if I really wanted to work with the kiln! I did not imagine this: This tour was advertised as a workshop that you could work on and take home your item instead, he said to pick out a small item to take home. After all of this, the tour did not include transportation back to Venice and it was the busiest holiday weekend of the year. We had to pay for private water taxi to get back to Venice as the line was so long to use our daily passes, it would have taken us all afternoon! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, VIATOR

This was a very poor glass factory. The tour is expensive and the only make 3 glass pieces in about 10min. Then you go and make a bead bracelet. Very disappointed with the tour. Would not recommend. We went for free to glass shop next to St. Mark's Basicalla that was better than this tour. Dont waste your money like we did.
