Enter the old city and admire the Roman ruins of Porta Leoni, the main access to "cardo maximus", the main road towards the Forum together with the' decumanus'. Stop at the famous Juliet's balcony, one of the most visited attractions of Verona, and always very crowded.

Then, head to the Verona Arena (Arena di Verona) and Borsari Gate that can be traced back to the 1st century B.C.

Next, enter the city like a Roman and go through the "decumanus maximus" till Piazza delle Erbe with its diurnal market. Proceed into the quiet and elegant Piazza dei Signori with the statue of Dante. Continue to the Gothic Scaliger Tombs (Arche Scaligere), the medieval Sottoriva road, the Roman Pietra bridge and the hill of San Pietro castle.

Follow river Adige that crosses the city till Castelvecchio and even reach the beautiful San Zeno Church, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture.

On the way back, stop in an enoteca to taste the typical wines and food of Verona, like Valpolicella red wine and Monte Veronese cheese.
