The Alhambra Palace and the Gardens are amazing. However this tour was very badly organized. We arrived at 10 AM to Granada, our guide walked with us in the city center and told us we have 4 !!! hours free time, we need to get back to the meeting point at 2PM and then we go to the Alhambra. 4 hours is way too much for the city center in Granada as it is not nice at all. The cathedral and the 2 streets around it are lovely, but all the rest is dirty and there is really not much to see. It would have been much better to have the Alhambra visit first, after that 1-1,5 hour free time and go back to the hotel earlier.

The coach met us on time at the appointed pick up place and we were excited about our day's tour to Granada and the Alhambra Palace. We had absolutely no idea that the coach would be making at least 7 pick ups along the coast to collect the remainder of the group. By the time the final pick up was made we had already been on the coach for over two and a half hours. By then the coach was completely full and we had only reached Malaga!
The remainder of the journey was very pleasant and took an hour and a half and the tour guide's commentary was informative and professional. The driver was excellent. Our walk around the city of Granada was interesting and again the tour guide gave us lots of information. We decided not to join the party at the chosen restaurant for lunch as we are vegetarians and the menu was very meaty.
After lunch destination Alhambra Palace. We arrived in the afternoon just before 2pm and were dropped off at a crowded and busy car park. We expected to be escorted immediately into the Palace however we were all informed that our time slot was not until 2.30pm which meant we had 30 minutes of hanging around. As our group was so large guides were allocated on a language basis. Most of them had their native language speakers however we English speaking were given a multi lingual guide so our commentary was divided into 2 languages which took too long and spoilt our experience. The guide was good but we felt we were a little rushed in the Palace and gardens because the tour guide was well aware of the long return journey. Back on the coach at 16.45 and 7 drop offs later, with a break for refreshments and toilets, we arrived back at the place we had been picked up, thirteen and a half hours later.
This was potentially an excellent tour but sadly it was spoiled by the size of the group and the ridiculous amount of picks up and drop offs to and from Granada. In future we would never go on a tour of this size.

Very nice tour. The palace was beautiful, and the city of Granada is very nice. However, our tour bus tour guide was extremely boring.

Everything was very good EXCEPT that
it took too long time to pick up and leave all participants. For us, who came from Nueva Andalucia, it meant FOUR (4) extra hours in the bus.
Had we known this, we would have taken our own car to Malaga.

Worth seeing except the weather, so don't go in February.
