Took the full day tour of Morocco Day 1, then Granada Day 2. Call/confirm with the tour company on your pickup meeting point and pickup time. The voucher/tour description says downtown Malaga meeting point, but it depends on where you are staying in the Costa Del Sol. The bus will make stops between Malaga to Tarifa to pickup people along the way and from Estepona to Malaga when going to Granada the next day. We stayed in Torremolinos, so the bus stopped to pick us up at a meeting point there same spot on both days. Tangiers was an experience, somewhat similar to what I expected. Very busy, especially the Kasbar marketplace, you can easily get lost in there, so always try to keep up with the tour group. The tour leader has a couple other assistants that watch out for all the tour members to make sure everyone is accounted for throughout the day. There are a lot of shopping stops from oils/scents to carpets on the tour. You also get some time to shop on your own. The only bad thing about our Morocco tour is that our tour guide misjudged the time we had to return back to the port in Tangiers. We missed our scheduled ferry back to Tarifa. As a result, our tour was delayed in the Tangier ferry port for 2 1/2 hours long story. Did not return to hotel until midnight which was way too long a day. Granada was great, very picturesque and beautiful. The city is awesome, very clean, organized, like it a lot. The Alhambra was fantastic, a lot of history and architecture that should not be missed. A downside to our Granada visit was our lunch stop. The restaurant owners kept demanding that someone in our group did not pay for lunch when in fact everyone did. There was a big dispute between our tour guide and the restaurant owners which should have been worked out privately between the restaurant and the tour company HQ. The dispute created a delay in our scheduled time to visit the Alhambra. Overall, great tours though.

Two perspectives
First I enjoyed the Morrocan portion of the tour although it was extremely rushed and the tour guide slowly walked us thru what I consider extremly aggressive merchants. The lunch was amazing and the guide funny and helpful
On the Spanish side guide was rude and impatient. Very rude!

Alhambra as well as Tanger were great experiences. We had good luck with the weather, which I think contributes to the total impression of both tours. The guides did a great job on both trips, and the traveling compagnions in the two busses were nice - especially on the trip to Tanger on Christmas evening.

The Alhambra Palace and Generalife gardens tour was fantastic albeit a short 3 hours. Morocco - Tangier is entirely missable except possibly the 1/2 hour City tour which might be of interest to some....

Morocco was great and it was a good experience being so close.

The Granada day trip is very well organised. Our guide, though repeating everything in 4 languages, was knowledgeable and funny. I ended up taking the lunch option which was fantastic- 13 euro for 3 courses! The Morocco day trip was unfortunately cancelled because of bad weather. So disappointing.

This one is a hard one to rate as the Granada day was a 5 and the Tangier day was a -10. Granada was beautiful and we loved the Alhambra - I would have liked a little more time at the Alhambra as we weren't able to even make it the the bookstore / shop after the tour... but the overall tour was FANTASTIC!!!
Tangier was the exact opposite!!! don't do it!!! It is a 'canned' tour with nothing authentic at all. Staged ride on a camel, staged cobra charmers, the lunch food was good but sitting with the other tourist - very little local engagement. Instead of going to a traditional souk - which we were told we would only get lost in - we went to a market place emporium and had to listen to a carpet salesman and were followed around the store by other salesmen.
The tour bus guide was very rude to my friend as she was looking for a pillow that she left on the bus in Spain but we were rushed back on to the bus and ended up in different seats but he wouldn't allow her a few minutes to search for it and instead rushed us off the bus. He idd offer to us that we could ride all the way into Malaga (we were in Benalmedia) and search there but would need to find our own way back. Not very helpful.
