Choose the show time most convenient for you, then make your own way to Corral de la Morer?a in Madrid Old Town. One of the most prestigious flamenco stages in Madrid, Corral de la Morer?a has showcased some of the country’s leading flamenco dancers for almost 60 years.
As you stroll through the narrow streets of Madrid Old Town, gaze up at the Arabic corbels and the streetlamps that date back to the 18th and 19th centuries, and find yourself transported back to a time when flamenco was only just beginning to make its mark on Spanish culture.
Perhaps pause for photos by the neighboring Royal Palace of Madrid, then head inside Corral de la Morer?a. Feel your excitement build as you make your way across the floor toward the rustic stage and sit down at your optimally placed table.
As you take your seat, scan the crowd for recognizable faces — the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Sandra Bullock, Muhammad Ali and Omar Sharif (and formerly Marlene Dietrich and Marlon Brando) have all been spotted here.
If you have opted for the drink and show option, sip on your glass of beer, wine or soda and watch as the tables around you fill up with excited guests. Alternatively, if you have opted to enjoy a 3-, 4- or 5-course dinner before the show begins, sink your teeth into dish after dish of tantalizing traditional fare, washed down with mineral water and wine. This is a must-do event if you are visiting Madrid!. The food was surprisingly delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. Some guests at the 6:00 dinner time were not aware that the show started at 8:00 pm. However, I researched the event and was fully prepared for the wait. The timing is ideal because it allows for a 2 hour meal service followed by an uninterrupted show which can only be described as beyond riveting. The performers were skilled and surely didn't disappoint. I was totally engaged in the show throughout. I particularly watched the faces of the singers and musicians who seemingly enjoyed performing as much as the audience enjoyed watching.

Honestly, my boyfriend and I did not enjoy the Flamenco Show. We loved the female dancer and guitarist, but the male dancer and the three singers took away from the experience. The male dancer was clumsy and frankly seemed inebriated the three singers sang in what we describe as scream or shout singing which was very hard on our ears and very distracting when it was supposed to uplift the dancing. We did not try the food, so I cannot judge that area of the restaurant however, the show was not enjoyable to us.

The actual Flamenco show was excellent. Seating was tight but adequate to move around a bit. We had the four course dinner prior to the show. If I had to do it over, I would skip the dinner and do drinks and tapas. The dinner food seemed a bit undercooked and did not agree with some of the people in my group.

Enjoy a real slice of authentic Spain, great food, great wine and a vibrant yet respectful crowd watching Flamenco at its finest. I could have watched the dancing all evening, it was that good. The dancers smouldering in the half light as the ninja like waiters looked after the diners !!
