First off, we really, really appreciated the fact that the tour guide, Steve, waited for us and about 4 others at the station since some lines on the Tube had been closed for the weekend, and we were wandering all over the Tube trying to get to Gloucester Road station.
The bus was not comfortable at all. We were packed like sardines into our seats and that wasn't helped by the fact that our seat mates were quite large. i literally had bruises the next day from being pushed against the arm rest.
My biggest complaint about this trip was that smoking was allowed during the tour. Every time we got off the bus and during the walks or discussions, the other passengers smoked continuously. I'm not talking about one or two people standing in the background, but at least half a dozen who were standing in the middle of the group. Since this was our first English tour, we thought that it was allowed. It wasn't until the end of the tour when I asked a fellow passenger about it, that I was told they'd never had tours with smoking being allowed.
Our tour driver was given incorrect directions from "the main office", and we drove around quite a bit while the correct locations were found. Granted the countryside was lovely, but I did tire of seeing the same intersections again and again especially since our seats were so uncomfortable.
The tour itself was fine, and the hostess at the Dower House was enjoyable. But because we got lost so many times, our time was limited at the sites.
I would not take this tour again nor would I recommend it to others.

Excellent day was had by all, would not have missed it for the world. Must do the Castle and the Egyptian artifacts down in the basement next tour. And the tour guide was second to none, she was excellent and all the very best to her and husband for the up coming birth of their first baby.
