After morning pickup in central Amsterdam, travel on a smaller size coach tour for about one hour until you reach Rotterdam, the second largest city in the Netherlands, where you take a 75-minute boat cruise around the immense harbor. Hear informative commentary about the sights as you soak in views of the city skyline with its cutting-edge architecture, hypermodern shipyards and busy docks.

Next, a short drive brings you to the picturesque city of Delft, birthplace of Dutch master painter Johannes Vermeer. On a walking tour in the canal-lined historic town center, admire buildings such as the Renaissance-style City Hall, the Old Church (Oude Kerk) and New Church (Nieuwe Kerk), where many members of the Dutch royal family are interred, including William of Orange. Then visit De Delftse Pauw, a factory that for centuries has been making Delftware, the signature pottery from this city. Have free time afterward to purchase lunch before returning to your coach.

Continue to The Hague, seat of both the Dutch government and royal family. As you tour the city by coach and on foot, take in a number important sites including the Peace Palace, several royal palaces, the Binnenhof—the meeting place of the several branches of Dutch government, and the Mauritshuis art museum, which boasts work by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Andy Warhol among others. Most foreign embassies in the Netherlands are located in The Hague, as well as more than 150 international organizations, including the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice.

Once you have seen the city’s highlights, take a stroll around the Madurodam, an outdoor park with miniature replicas of the Netherlands’ most famous locations, including the Rijksmuseum, the Binnenhof, the Rotterdam port, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and traditional scenes of canals, tulip fields, windmills and more.

At the end of a comprehensive full-day tour, your coach returns you to your starting point in Amsterdam.

The best tour we took when we were in Amsterdam. Can't say enough good things. Rotterdam harbor was impressive and gave a view of the modern architecture of the city. Delft- super tour of the business that makes the blue/white plates, etc. Delft is a wonderful smaller town. We lucked out as they had a floral parade of floats on the canal which goes thru town. The Hague seat of govt is impressive- have heard so much about it in government studies. Would have preferred being able to get inside.
Overall an great value for the money.

Definitely worth doing this tour. You get a great impression of three important cities in The Netherlands in just one day. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and fluent in at least four languages. Driver also did a good job.

We loved this tour! Juliet was so friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions and give little tid bits of information you can't know unless you live there. It was great that we experienced each city in different ways too. Delft was definitely a highlight - such a charming and beautiful city. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Marvelous was the bus tour of Rotterdam with its imaginative modern architecture even more marvelous was the hour and a half cruise of Rotterdam Harbor. The walking tour of Delft and of the Hague was energetic and informative -- well-paced. At Delft, we were also guided into a Deftware factory and shown how the ware is fired and hand painted -- every piece, hand painted -- before being fired again. Madurodam was a delight. A thoroughly enjoyable day, well-conducted.
