The Ice Age Adventure Cave Tour is 3 hours long with a mix of caving and hiking. The tour is good for ages 8 and up.
To begin, all participants meet at the cave park visitor centre 20 mintues before their scheduled tour time. This gives everyone the chance to meet their guide, gear-up and sign the Liability Waivers. Once everyone is ready to go the guide will lead the group up a moderately strenuous hill trail for 1km. (25 mins), broken up by 5 informative stops.

The first cave will have steep metal stairs which everyone can walkdown to pass through the cave entrance. The guides are trained to adapt the tour to the comfort needs of the group and there are several routes that they can take. Inside the caves is similar to a dry creek bed. You will be required to step over or around rocks and will also have to bend over in some places.

After exploring the first cave the guide will then lead the group down a steep hill to reach additional caves. There will be a narrow, vertical entrance squeeze to access one of the caves. Inside the cave all particiopants will have the option to climb three short waterfalls (each approx. 2m. high) and to descend from the top of the waterfalls, participants must slide down a series of steep ramps and ladders.
Once the caves have been explored the guide will lead the group back down to the cave parks visitor centre where the tour will finish.

Everyone should be wearing good footwear (hiking boots or rubber boots) and long layered clothing as the cave temperature is 8 degrees Celsius (46 degrees F).
