Took the half day trip rather than the full day and was glad I did as I needed a hot bath to unstiffen after - I'm 65 and haven't been in a canoe in 30 years. We paddled with the river from Whitehorse to the junction with the Takhini river, close on 4 hrs, including a short break - distance about 16 km. We saw 4 bald eagles, although when we got close to one, it turned out I had been looking at part of a tree, so count 3. Weather was overcast with a few showers so it wasn't too hot. Highly entertaining guide, some great stories of crazy things that happen in the Yukon. The river banks are quite steep for most of the trip which is why the eagles like to perch in the trees looking for fish. Unfortunately, my photo of the eagle is not sharp enough to post but its great to look at.
