Start with a pickup from your centrally located hotel, and then hop inside an air-conditioned coach and relax on the scenic journey through the historical city and up Mt Sr, the 1,352-foot (412-meter) mountain that towers over Dubrovnik.
On arrival at the summit, enjoy free time to marvel at the sweeping panoramas. Snap photos of the terracotta-tiled rooftops that typify Croatia, and absorb breathtaking views of the Dalmatian Coast, including the distant Elaphite Islands and the island of Lokrum. On a clear day, it is said you can see sights up to 37 miles (67 km) away.
Next, return to your coach and continue further outside of the bustling city to a traditional countryside restaurant. Here, you have the opportunity to taste homemade Dalmatian foods prepared using time-honored methods that date back generations.
Take a seat at your table and sip a glass of homemade brandy as you mingle with your group and fellow dinner guests. As you eat, watch in delight as local dancers dressed in traditional costume perform Lino folk dances to live music. You'll also watch a presentation to learn about the dance's origins. Traditionally accompanied by the lijerica (an old southern Dalmatian string instrument), Lino dates back to the late 18th century and is still extensively performed in Dubrovnik's coastal region.
Your three dinner courses may include regional specialties such as veal peka, a tasty meat and potato dish that is cooked ‘under the lid’ in a covered pot and put directly into the embers of a fireplace. See the Itinerary for a sample menu (vegetarian option also available).
With your appetite sated, hop back inside your coach and travel back to Dubrovnik, where your tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.
