Old town Medvedgrad (13th century) is a typical medieval castle that can be clearly seen from the many parts of Zagreb. Many stories and fairy tales are connected to this mystical old castle, although it seems unapproachable - it is just an easy hike away. On Medvedgrad there is a monument to the Croatia homeland  “oltar domovine”, made with stones from all Croatian regions and eternal flame that keeps burning all year. The way to the top goes through fresh green forest, opening an opportunity for active relaxation and observation of continental forest plants.

Medvedgrad is situated in Nature Park Medvednica, which attracts many people from Zagreb, and they see it as a place where they can escape from the city crowd, summer heats and winter fog.
Surprisingly to its proximity to the city, if you are lucky, you may even see a deer or a rabbit running through the woods!

Tour starts at 9:00 with private transfer from your accommodation (Zagreb city only) to starting point of hike. Transfer is done in comfortable air-conditioned private vehicle. On the way, it is possible to observe natural spring, and taste water from it and walk near the stream "Kralji
in Zdenac". The higher in the mountain the trail goes, the nature is more wild and green.
After aproximatley 1h hike - on the highest point of trail awaits Medvedgrad, where we stop for a break, view point and a walk.

Hiking difficulty level: easy to moderate (2 h of hiking).
Equipment: we can provide you with walking sticks and backpacks please notify us in advance.

Please note: sport shoes and comfortable / sport clothes are obligatory, walking in flip-flops or similar is not possible!
