See the best of Puerto Plata on this full-day city tour! After pickup from your Puerto Plata hotel, hop on your tour bus with your local guide and head to the Brugal Rum Center, where you can buy duty-free rum. Then, visit the Dominican Amber Museum, which houses a unique collection of valuable Dominican amber. Then, visit San Felipe Fort, one of the oldest buildings still standing in Puerto Plata. Visit the small museum at the fort, where you can see wartime artifacts such as guns and cannon balls. Take in gorgeous Atlantic Ocean views from Fort San Felipe before continuing on.
Next, take a guided tour of Isabel de Torres Mountain. Ride a cable car up to the top of the mountain and admire breathtaking views of the bay. After your cable car ride back down the mountain, you’ll be transported back to your Puerto Plata hotel.

I am scared to death of heights but figured that this tour was a must when in Puerto Plata. It was scary as hell but well worth it! I booked a few tours through Viator and was extremely satisfied with the service provided and value for the money!

This was a great tour! We saw many aspects of Puerto Plata and the downtown area, the trip up the mountain side was spectacular!! Highly recommend this tour.

Guide was hard to understand. Didn't make things very clear . Amber museum run down, cigar factory just part of museum. Jewelery shop try to sell sell sell. No cable car ride canceled .
