If the sun is shining, follow your small group up onto the restaurant’s rooftop terrace for an alfresco tasting session, gazing over the acropolis. Alternatively, take a seat inside the restaurant and listen to an introduction to the production of Greek wine from a local wine expert.

A gem of the European wine world, Greek wine is harvested from grapes grown in some of the sunniest climes in the Mediterranean. Learn about the different wine regions in Greece, and hear how differences in soil and proximity to the sea lead to flavor variations, from crisp and zesty whites to the country’s surprisingly smooth and velvety reds.

While learning about the different winemaking regions and grapes, sample up to four varietals of Greek wine alongside four samples of local food specialties from the restaurant. Samples change depending on seasonality and the wine that you try, but typically you may be served olives, fresh bread, cheese and cured ham.

Your wine-tasting session finishes inside the restaurant, where you can purchase some of the wine if you wish before leaving.
