Get together at the famous Regal Theater located in the Colaba area at 4pm. Meet your friendly guide and leave for a fun trail around India's fashion capital. Walk with your expert guide to Nariman Point, the commercial hub of Mumbai. Situated on the extreme southern gradient of Marine Drive, the area is believed to be world’s fourth most expensive office location. Even more eye-catching is the spectacular view of the Arabian Sea, which is fantastic when seen from Nariman Point. Explore the posh locality and proceed walking towards the Colaba Causeway. Known to be the most charismatic area of the city, the Colaba Causeway is also called the Fashion Street of Mumbai. With an endless array of junk jewellery, clothes, curios, souvenirs and books spread on the street, the area attracts most of Mumbai’s hip college crowd and first time travelers. In the company of your expert guide, make the most of your time and grab some cool deals at rock-bottom prices. From there, proceed walking to the Gateway of India, Mumbai’s most prominent tourist attraction which boasts a 26 meter tall archway with intricately carved stone work. Indulge in photography as you walk past the magnificent Taj Mahal Palace, built in 1903 by a Parsi industrialist JN Tata, supposedly after he was refused entry to one of the European hotels. As the day retires stop over at the legendary Leopold Caf? for delectable local snack then head back to Regal Theater where your tour concludes.
When I signed up for a walking tour it was because I wanted just that. A walking tour. I feel ripped off. I paid extra for a private 4 hour tour and got a quick 2 hour tour by car with too many snack stops (more for the guide than myself).
