A visit to Bali will never be completed if the center and Northern part of the island is missed. This two days tour offers Bali in basic. Barong and Kris dance in the south of Bali describes the eternal struggle between good and evil. The famous volcano Batur will be visited. Lovina on the north coast is famous for the black sand beaches. The lakes at Bedugul and the cool mountain make this area a popular place for local tourists. Munduk, a small and rarely visited mountain village, is locally well known for its coffee and cacao plantation. This will follow us along the trace, to the jungle waterfall, near the village.

Day 1: South Bali Lovina
You will depart from your hotel to the famous Barong and Kris Dance show. It describes the eternal struggle between good (Barong) and evil (Rangda) and ends with a scene where the kris dancers fall into a trance and try to kill Rangda.
We then proceed to Celuk, the center of exquisite silver works and Mas known for its fine woodcarvings before visiting the holy spring of Tirta Empul surrounded by a large shrine to the God Indra. There are bathing pools which are believed to have strong curative powers. On the hill behind this temple is a presidential guesthouse built by the late President Soekarno. Our next stop is Kintamani where you can enjoy an optional lunch (own expense) with a breathtaking view over the caldera lake of Danau Batur. Then proceed to Lovina where you will check in to your hotel.

Day 2: Lovina Lake Buyan - Taman Ayun Temple - South Bali (B)
Depart from the hotel after delicious breakfast and drive to Munduk waterfall, then continue passing the twin lakes of Lake Buyan Lake Tamblingan, before visiting Ulun Danu temple, dedicated to Dewi Danu the goddess of the waters, on the Lake Beratan. Process to Candi Kuning and stop at local market including fruit and exotic flowers such as wild orchids and roses. Optional lunch (own expense) will be providing at Saranam Eco Resort. Visit Taman Ayun temple, founded by the King of Mengwi in 17th century. It has three ascending levels of spacious courtyards containing rows of shrines and pavilions and surrounded by wide moat. Your last stop will be Tanah Lot temple, one of the holiest temples in Bali which is built atop a huge rock and surrounded by the sea.
After Tanah Lot you will return to your hotel in South Bali or head straight to the airport.

This trip was un-reviewed on Viator. We took the risk of booking it only because of our faith in Viator. Bad decision!
The tour operator - Asian Trails, was extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating.
We were to be picked up on 13th Sept at 8:30 a.m from Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa and our first stop would have been the Barong dance. But it started to rain heavily at around 8 a.m. We were ready for check-out at 8:30 and had informed the front-desk to inform us as soon as the tour guide arrived. Once he arrived, we asked him if there was any point in proceeding with the trip if the rain continued. He clearly said that the rain would not allow us to see everything. Upon hearing this, we asked him to request the tour company to shift the trip to the next day. They took 40 minutes to get back, refusing and saying that their hotel partner - Aneka Lovina, would not allow a change. That was understandable, but what was completely unfair was that they said that they - Asian Trails, would charge us 50 of the fees if we shifted our dates! So, we were forced to undertake the trip, knowing fully well that there was a high chance that all our money would go waste since we would not get to see anything. By the time all this ruckus was laid to rest, it was 9:30 when we left. This they later on held against us, saying we missed the Barong dance because WE left late.
The rain subsided by about 11-11:30. The guide - Raditya- informed us that the Barong dance happens in the open, and only at 9:30,which may will have to be skipped from the itinerary. We were very dejected, because for us that was the highlight of the trip.
The stay at Aneka Lovina was lousy. So was our guide, who was sweet but not very forthcoming with information.
The tour was very 'rushed', apparently to go 'strictly as per itinerary'. In that case if something got missed because of weather, the company should have arranged for it the next day.Also,we had different itineraries between the guide and us!
